I had my VPN set on Canada and then when I went to Google the address was www.google.com.br instead of www.google.com. Why does it do that?

Which VPN provider are you using? If I'm using my VPN setting to Canada it will go to google.ca.

I only have two choices on the iPhone app version. I'll have to try it on my PC. I wonder if it matters in your search results?

What browser do you use?   you can get  Google.com (in English) for Firefox

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/always-com-googlecom-in-englis/

You can Find a bunch more here For English and  other languages

http://mycroftproject.com/google-search-plugins.html

Also  you can use Add to Search Bar and add  Encrypted Google witch is the one i use that's always in English.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-to-search-bar/

For Chrome Browser its little harder but  this works for me .

http://www.wikihow.com/Permanently-Switch-Google-Chrome-to-English-in-Korea

That way  it don't matter what VPN  IP you use  and DuckDuckGo is in English unless you change it  . :)

As someone who hates regional search results unless required, this one address is something I always try to remember:

Quote

google.com/ncr

The ncr here means no country redirect. Meaning, it will always stay on google.com. The only issue here that you will need to enter it again if you have cleared your browsing data and such.

I added  google.com/ncr to my bookmark and no redirect. Just www.google.com now, thanks.

use OPENVPN. there are free and paid servers for it. it's the most secure solution. for phone and pc.

OpenVPN or IKEv2, both are really good choices. I personally use NordVPN and I like it, it supports both BTW.
