jalaffa
Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there's no setup or subscription fee). Thanks to ARMOUR for the update.Download

rseiler
Yes, MS botched this one. Their EXE tampering checking fails their own signed Skype.exe.

venejo
From what I have seen, lately MS creates two different setups of Skype, one for older OSes XP, Vista e.t.c. and one for the newer ones. Don't really get the reason for this, since the filesize is almost the same, but this is the same error I used to get when installing the version made for Win10 on Vista. Right now I got the error on Win8.1. Can someone else confirm on XP or Win10?

No need for uninstalling, just signing out and logging in again, that fixed the problem.

Signing out doesn't restart the program, so you won't see the error in that scenario since this is a startup check. If you quit the program and restart it, you will.
