August 28, 2009

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

They’re not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773 (excerpt), which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency.

The new version would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.

“I think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness,” said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which counts representatives of Verizon, Verisign, Nortel, and Carnegie Mellon University on its board. “It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill.”

This is probably the only news that I've ever seen you post that relates to the site.

I heard about this a long while ago though.

Thanks?

While this may be the only "appropriate" news to post for a software and technology site, I urge you to understand why I post the other news. News like this article DOES catch your attention because it deals with the site. I suppose for most people, until something disturbs their way of living, they don't care. I post what I post because I care about all mankind, as unbelievable as that sounds, I'm telling you the truth about myself. I value life and so when I post this stuff it is from selflessness in a hope that others might form the selflessness trait. Too many people don't care, consider me the disruptor to help people to care for their fellow people. You don't like it? Move to North Korea.

Now what do you think about this article in summary?

I think that the article is informative and important yet even it is not fully accurate because the things actually reveled that the public can see are just like a tip of one ice berg. Their plans if successful is probably to revoke everyone's Internet privileges indefinitely.

The better we are informed the better we are for battle, in reality or in cybality. Yes I created cybality. The reality based in cyber space, also known as virtual reality and not limited to hand held devices or other forms of online compatible devices.

All we see now is the tip and the powers that be intend on getting their agenda through, by force if need be.

So Ambrocious, whats the weapons stockpile you have like? Does it make you feel prepared for "the battle"? When you snap and go on your killing spree will you murder any and all people you see or just police officers and such like your Alex Jones brother Poplawski? Rememeber don't drink the water, its got mind control stuff in it from Satan's testicles.

Without taking any sides in the whole matter, I am just wondering what "emergency" could possibly occur that would benefit from the US president pulling the plug on somebody's internet? Sounds utterly stupid to me, unless the president is a sore loser at world of warcraft or something then is there any point to being able to kill somebody's internet? Not like they didn't already have this power, even at the ISP level they can revoke your connection for any breach of agreement. More importantly is an emergency of this type has never seemed to bother the internet in the past so what makes them think........... anyway I will stop. the point is moot anyway. All the freedom boys in blue will still say they are better than North Korea and China even though they are slowly being eased into fascism. I hope they don't implement the great firewall of America anytime soon, all my internet routes through USA and I need my torrents! ;)

LOLZ! I love your posts; like breathing in fresh sun shine. As for weapons and such, I stand with my weapon of truth of the Bible and of goodness. I don't have guns nor do I have any knives or explosives. I prepare in my own way. I prefer non-violence. You can prepare anyway you like but In my case, God has things under control.

That Poplawski guy acted in stupidity. First and foremost, if he actually LISTENED to what Alex Jones was saying rather than being involved in the white supremacist movement, he would have gotten the very important message that Alex Jones was calling for a peaceful revolution: holding signs, peaceful protests, actually standing up for our rights with non-violent practices. That guys who went on his shooting spree was free to do as he did, and he got what he deserved. He was informed...but he used the information very wrongly.

As for the water, look into fluoride and how it is NOT as good as you might imagine. For your teeth is is great, but you ingest it and enjoy the long term soft kill! Look at this info of how fluoride is wonderful for you!

Other fluoride Info:

Drink up! Trust the main stream media! They Wuv you!

P.S. By the way, they stated that Mercury is now good for you. Better look into buying some nutritional mercury while your at it. It's good for us all...right?

@LeetPirate: I remember once when emergency was declared in Pak about more than a year or so, the neighborhood country of mine, I heard their president had blocked all of internet access. I'm not sure about it, maybe karachidude may clear this topic. But it was an instance.

thats the problem. they have changed it to an even more vague then before. under this piece of shit bill certain companies would have to have people that have the (what ever czar and fcc) certifcate for security of networks.

also remember they breaking the law by collecting cookie data now too.

with national socialism of health care that czar, comittee and 50 state comittees get all your tax and health data. this administration is inbetween nazi and fascism now. heading to the big F. at least history tells us what and how both axis leaders bit it in the end.

History is most likely to repeat it's self if the people are not woke up. Because the masses of people sit in front of their TV's 24/7 and and are basically brainwashed by "Reality TV" and things that go boom, they have been taught to enjoy in the sensual ways and COMPLETELY disregard any and all aspects of such "boring" things. The truth of world events are "fed" into main stream media and THEN the reporters read it all. Some reporters are In bed with all of this while others are clueless to what is really happening. You would think that because they work for a major news corporation that THEY would be the ones to know right? Due to the continual and slow slide of incrementalising tyranny, the public has looked the other way, giving up their liberties slowly but surly. Now suddenly as the masses are being "shook" while in their little nap and about ready to wake, the ones that call the shots are worried that their plans will be squashed.

I'll let you in on a "conspiracy theory" of sorts, lets call it a lie for those of you currently under THAT mind set: we are all about ready to witness a massive attack. The powers that be will have their agenda one way or another.

“We will have a world government whether you like it or not. The only question is whether that government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” Paul Warburg

Just a random tidbit, I for one had known that fluoride was more poisonous than lead and just under arsenic in toxicity so I have switched to herbal neem toothpaste without any fluoride a long while now. :D. I found out this by chance when I was researching premature grey hairs as I have some on my head, then I found out the facts about fluoride and what it does. Of course I used to brush my teeth wrong too which is why I used to swallow some toothpaste multiple times per day so I guess it added up. If you think it's from today people are trying to kill you, think again, measure the amount of iron they put in cereal. According to their measurement 1% dv means 1mg and typical cheap cereal contains 60mg of iron per serving. A healthy human male only requires 4mg of iron per day and a female about 9 to 18mg depending on their cycle of course.

The more heavy metals you have in your blood the more free radicals bounce around which eventually cause mutations and cancer. I don't need to prove what I said, just look at the average lifespan of a person who has the "ideal" tv breakfast of cereal everyday and compare it to the lifespan of monks in Tibet. Ever since that I have resorted to eating post blueberry mornings cereal which is one of the only ones that come with only 10mg of iron, however to live longer costs more as a box is approximately 7USD which is very expensive to the average person. Therefore poor people should just avoid useless cereal altogether and eat bananas instead as they have more nutrients than apples, an apple a day will never keep the doctor away, that's another lie. Trust me the price of good health is nothing less than vigilance and common sense, don't buy into every commercial you see on TV especially the ones that say "MAY help lower cholesterol" because they use vague words like "may" knowing that it really has little effect and they just have not proven it as yet.

And I'm going really off topic here :) I will stop now.

DKT27: What I am wondering is what effect did the blocking of the internet have on the situation at hand? I don't see it as solving any problem but more of a power play to demonstrate that the gov't is the boss and they want to make sure everyone is reminded of it. The only time I see an "emergency" is when all the hackers in North Korea decide to have a slumber party and launch cyber attacks all at once, never happened before, probably never will.

I can offer what some might see as "radical" as to why they want power over the Internet. First of all, knowledge is power, that is one of the biggest reasons for disinformation and the adjusting of laws and the pushing of things onto people via TV propaganda. You will be watching TV and you will see a woman holding her son in her arms with a smile as she says, "I trust AIG, afterall they helped save my sons life and now they are helping me save money." So they hook you with the "trust" word and then like a fish, people buy into it.

One way to make people agree is to "say" that groups of people don't like something. I remember that there was some guy on the news saying, "The people of New York don't want this," speaking for everyone in New York. Now a listener of this might be like, "Wow, I DON"T want this! I live in New York!" As they begin to "tell" us how to think and how to be, we begin to become suckling on the NWO's teet (not exactly cussing there, just trying to get people to imagine the nauseating picture) as if we are all part of their agenda like we are special. I'll tell you now people, we are the furthest thing from their minds when thinking about well being.

To understand that they are indeed evil is the waking point of everything. As long as people choose not to want to know, they will always just sit back and take anything the government gives to them. Disinformation can be deadly in many cases. News reports come out saying something like this, "A new study found that people prefer KRAFT cheese over Sargento due to it's original taste and quality," placing a thought, a seed if you will, for people to think, "Hmm, most people like KRAFT cheese...WELL SO DO I!"

You see how this works? The masses are being "programed" into thinking that things are they way they are said and portrayed. This methodology is HIGHLY effective. Be a free thinker, not a programmed computer. Realize that you have been violated in soft kill propaganda (not speaking directly to you LeePirate).

Right now they are putting out "polls" or opinions of the amount of people that "want to take the swine flu shot" and the numbers were pretty high. Is this disinformation (information that is changed to reflect a conjured or engineered point of view) or are these numbers of people who REALLY do believe that the shot is fantastic? In another poll, a lot of people think the swine flu shot is actually DEADLIER than the flu it's self based on what is in them: mercury and squalene. [ Links to this info Here: http://www.prisonplanet.com/washington-pos...in-mercury.html & http://www.prisonplanet.com/12000-u-s-chil...uinea-pigs.html ]

OK I got way off topic but I had to show all of you this little bit of info to reflect on how disinformation works. I struggle every day trying to get the truth out of situations and out of news. The truth is there but there are lots of people who don't want us to know about it.
