The new CIA director Mike Pompeo has used a public speech to denounce Julian Assange and Edward Snowden as an ominous, morally self-assertionist. Their currency is "Clickbait", their goal is the destruction of Western values.

In his first public appearance after ten weeks in office, CIA chief Mike Pompeo has left no good hair on the unveiling platform Wikileaks, its founder Julian Assange and the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. "It's time for Wikileaks to be what it really is: a non-state hostile intelligence agency, often fed by state actors like Russia," the 53-year-old noted in his widely read speech at the " "Center for Strategic and International Studies" (CSIS) on Thursday in Washington. For example, the Russian military service GRU used the portal to publicize data about US victims of a cyber-operation against the umbrella organization of the Democrats.

The former Republican deputy also accused Wikileaks of actively collaborating with "Russia's main propagandist" Russia Today and encouraging supporters to apply to the CIA to withdraw secrets. In the midst of the ever-increasing "information war," he himself drew a classic black-and-white image of the US security agencies and their potential enemies: "While we do our best and gather information quietly," individuals like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden "to abuse these findings" to make a name for themselves ". They were not concerned with the fact that they were endangering life or harming national security.

Assange and his peers were on the same line with dictators, the head of the foreign secret service. They tried to present themselves and their deeds under the cover of "freedom and privacy," while they were only interested in their own celebrity. Their currency is "Clickbait", their morality is not present, their mission consists in personal "self-enlarging through the destruction of Western values".

Assange insulted the Republicans as a "narcissist". He told Snowden not to be a real Whistleblower, as such guides were discreet and used established ways to make an internal alarm. The NSA revealer, on the other hand, made it comfortable in the transmission of the Russian secret services. He notes that more than 1000 "foreign targets" are trying to change their way of communicating.

US President Donald Trump set up Pompeo as CIA Director. The White House leader was a fan of Wikileaks in the election campaign, after the platform had been hitting material from the hacker attacks against his rival Hillary Clinton. In the meantime, trumps have also cooled considerably towards the portal. Pompeo himself had pointed to the hacked mails on Twitter in July 2016 and saw this as evidence that Clinton's candidacy of former President Barack Obama had long been blessed.

Wikileaks recently released a large arsenal of CIA cybers with "Vault 7" and wants the revelations to be understood as a response to the challenge of the secret services to "expose" autocratic regimes.

Edward Snowden has only responded indirectly to the allegations: he forwarded a tweet of Huffington Post reporter Jessica Schulberg to his three million followers. She pointed out that Mike Pompeo, a Congressman, used WikiLeaks documents for political purposes less than a year ago. ( Imj )

That is.... pretty accurate, actually.  It is not beholden to any nation-state, it acts like an intelligence agency, and Assange is certainly hostile towards the United States and always has been.  I'm not saying "Anti-U.S.=BAD" or that his information is untrue, but I am saying he is not acting on high-minded ideals or a search for The Truth but rather a very large axe he wishes to grind.

Certainly, there are any numer of different governments around the the so called civilized world executing illegal, anticonstitucional, corrupt or arbitrary actions against their own citizens, including Ecuador, where Assange found an ally to be safe from his legal issues. Just as an example, we have Brasi where an all envolving corruption scheme protagonized in past years by govenment officials including the highest executive, congress representatives of government and opposition, money-hungry private corporatons starting with Odebrecht and state owned corporationd headed by Petrobras, extending tentacles to most other South American countries, including Assange's host country. I still expect "revelations" of Wikileaks about all this. Or about all that dirty commercial and poltical procedures conducted by China, Russia, Iran, Turkey, Venezuela, Nigeria, South Africa and some more countries, all around the world

Maybe the omission is because no US public or state interests are affected and Assange and his partners don't mean to affect interests of THEIR "friendly" accomplices, clients and financists.
