CrAKeN
Windows 10 Anniversary Update already running on 9 out of 10 Windows 10 PCs Microsoft is getting ready to release the Windows 10 Creators Update to users across the world, and in the meantime, adoption of the Anniversary Update version is going strong, with more than 91 percent of the PCs running it right now, according to a new set of statistics. This means that 9 out of 10 Windows 10 PCs are already on the Anniversary Update (version 1607), which does nothing more than show that Microsoft users have performed the update to the latest version of the operating system in the first months of availability. While Windows 10 version 1607 leads the charts with 91.2 percent, Windows 10 version 1511 is the runner-up with 6 percent, and the original version is still running on just 2 percent of the PCs. 0.9 percent of the systems are already on preview builds of the Creators Update. Fast adoption after 3 months The evolution of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update shows that adoption started slowly in the first months of availability, but after three months on the market, the install base jumped from approximately 35 percent to nearly 80 percent in just 30 days. “As you can see, Anniversary Update started slowly and was installed on less than 35 percent of PCs two months in. But then floodgates opened and it jumped to close to 80 percent in a month,” AdDuplex says in the statistics published today. The Windows 10 Creators Update is projected to launch next month, possibly on April 11, and just like it happened in the case of the Anniversary Update, the rollout will take place in stages. PCs will be the first to get it starting April 11, while smartphones are projected to receive it at a later time, with Microsoft yet to provide any specifics on its planned rollout. At this point, development of the Creators Update is close to reaching the final stages as part of the Windows Insider program. Adoption of version 1607 accelerated after three months Source

Ummm... because it took 3 months for Microsoft to remove the system-borking, application-borking, and just plain annoying bugs. Users aren't stupid. They won't install bug infested updates just because Microsoft thinks the universe will end if they don't, or that a buggy unstable up to date OS is better than a working not up to date stable one. Dear Microsoft, it's NOT the economy, it's your shitty zero QA.bug-infested updates and their forcing!

What you expect from a company who has to look after 1 billion users spread out over 4 OS soon too be 3 , Windows 10 alone is like taking care of 4 OS, preview OS fast ring,. preview OS slow ring , and LTSB enterprise , general release and now they added preview release ring . You expect a company with this much updating going on to push out prefect patches? Even before windows 10 came out they was releasing bad patches for windows 7 and Windows 8.1 . It's nothing new Microsoft have been like this for years now. lol. Chasing a perfect update is like a drug addict chasing his 1st high , its never going too happen... Someone, somewhere will find something wrong with the update. especially when there are millions of people who like to talk about it on blogs , social networks and forums. Nope, but users should expect (and get) better than the forced cumulative/bundled/buggy mess that Microsoft believes is acceptable. Microsoft sacked its internal testers a few years ago, and for Windows 10 replaced them with the Windows Insiders. Given the "quality" of Windows 10 updates and upgrades, that brave experiment has clearly failed. And for Windows 7 and 8.1 users, who's doing the update testing? The poor users are, that's who. Its got worse since windows 10 but it's expected with all they workload they have and using volunteer testers , Because no one runs the same setup most of the time none of these bugs that be in the media I can even reproduce on my setup and they dont bother me at all . I was running RS1 sign off a month before general release and the worse thing I hated about windows 10 was it's slow updates and I fixed it by blocking updates and downloading them and installing them with installers. It dont do no good to complain Windows 10 has been out almost 2 years and the only reason they made any improvement at all is to keep money flowing out of the EU and it's all just smoke and mirrors I know because I'm on RS 2 now and had to block a bunch of crap now they built china a special version. they have the most users in the world .But at lest it is running good on my old hardware that came with Windows 8.0. Like I told you guys before i ever tested it, now when you 1st install it the difference is they offer you to turnoff stuff that you could turnoff after installing it . You just dont need a tut or do a system search. But still it dont stop the crap going on you can't see without a ip sniffer and you still need a guide to turn off most of the ads . I got so mad at it when I 1st installed it last night I almost wiped it and was fixing to wipe windows and replace it with Linux again but I slept on it and figured out how to block all of it today . Microsoft have just many users sucking up to them as they have people complaining and the rest dont get involved with the politics of Windows. And l like to play the devil's advocate.and one thing is for sure Microsoft Windows is not going no were for at lest 15 years or maybe longer. tell something better takes it's place. Microsoft's clear strategy is to push a little harder every now and again to see how much they can get away with, and unless enough complain they'll just keep going. Their GWX campaign would have died a much earlier death if enough of the spineless, Windows-10-fawning media had had the guts to do so. But Microsoft have a thick hide, the best users can do is avoid Windows 10 and fight off all the unconscionable Microsoft attempts to get them to shift to it. Eventually it will occur to the Redmond tossers that they botched it. 'nuff said...

Only thing they care about is money , If the EU say they dont like the way windows 10 was made they made this version with smoke and mirrors because they almost have more users on Windows 10 in Europe now as windows 7 , And what was holding them back was China and if China wants there own backdoors and no one else's backdoors it;s fine by Microsoft You're dealing with a proprietary software company and the only thing they understand is if there profits and stocks are decreasing . Same with Apple they are doing good in the Asian markets now. You're just a number to them out of 1.5 billion windows users. http://www.wave3.com/story/34971359/apple-and-microsoft-introduce-new-product-lines It's not like open source were i can go over too GitHub and feel good about helping the devs. Only fanboys want to help Microsoft for most normal users they rather watch Netflix or gossip on Facebook ,pay bills etc than grace a site about Windows if there computer breaks they call costumer service if its still under warranty or they take it too the shop or buy a new one. .
