Karamjit
Microsoft has launched a new Windows 10 Creators Update build for PCs enrolled in the Windows Insider program, this time exclusively for users in the Fast ring. Windows 10 build 15058 doesn’t include any new features, but brings us one step closer to the RTM build of the Creators Update that’s expected to be ready as soon as this week and released to insiders the next one. Microsoft mentioned only a bunch of fixes in this build in the change log (which you can read in full in the box after the jump), but there are also a few known issues that everyone should have in mind when preparing to install 15058. The company says that a number of PCs could fail to update to this build due to a SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE error, explaining that until now, no fix has been developed. Additionally, some apps and games may crash, Microsoft explains, and the resolution is to delete the registry key at this path to address it: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AdvertisingInfo “Specifically, this issue affects new user accounts that were created on Build 15031. The misconfiguration can continue to persist after upgrading to later builds. The ACL on the registry key incorrectly denies access to the user,” Microsoft explains. No word on mobile build As far as mobile devices are concerned, there’s still no ETA for this build to be released to insiders, but more information is expected this week, as work on the Creators Update now advances at a super-fast pace. Microsoft is projected to launch Windows 10 Creators Update next month, possibly on April 11, and the company is now giving the final touches to this release to make sure that everything is running smoothly when it pushes the green light for retail users. The Creators Update is expected to be finalized in just a few days, but more updates would be shipped on launch day, possibly as a cumulative update, in order to fix bugs between RTM compiling date and the public debut. D1v1n3D
Word about one more build this week by Sunday but assuming Friday night there is no ISO file yet once there is then we know for sure rtm is out. ISO still on 15048 and listing 1607 instead of 1703 like this build so far so good on upgrade from AE do notice a restart lag and a couple other programs glitching on build 15055. virge
Will Enterprise LTSB 1703 version be out anytime soon? Home, Pro, and Enterprise have Cortana which keeps popping up even when it's turned off.
