Karlston
These tips and tricks will make the parts of Win10 that you actually use work better See larger image Windows 10 -- your way No matter who you are and where you stand on the raging Windows 10 issues, I bet there are some things you love about your new operating system, along with other things you wish were better, had stayed the same, or simply went away. In this slideshow, I take you through the parts of Win10 that irk me the most, giving you quick tips on how to set things right ... or at least, right-er. Your opinion will vary, of course, and if you have other beefs (and solutions!) post them in the comments below or over on AskWoody.com. You'll see that I specifically don’t talk about Virtual desktops, Microsoft Edge, Windows Store, or any of the built-in apps. Most of you never use multiple desktops, couldn’t care less about Edge, think of the Store as an annoyance, and have found substitutes for the built-in apps long ago. That’s great. You get it. IronY-Man
LTSB version smooth's the process of managing the win 10 to very lil' amount ....no clutter and few tweaks here and there and you're good to go. Tho the Only thing Im missing now from 7 is the amazing theming & personalization of look n feel capability....which is now very limited in 10. I have a friend who has TH2 pro still and they use Windows Update MiniTool and get updates fine for it they just keep windows update service disabled . If you look at all the tuts for Windows 10 it don't matter what version you have anything that can be applied in enterprise can by applied in Home and Pro as well it just has a different work around is all. Here takes care of the rest How to Get Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise Features for Free http://www.lifehacker.co.uk/2015/07/29/how-to-get-windows-10-pro-and-enterprise-features-for-free

Yeah, yeah... I know... Windows 7 and 8/8.1 are infected the same way now with cumulative updates and telemetry. But at least those OS's are stable, mature and (IMO) let users be in control. I would still be using Windows 8.1 today but since it was free I really didn't lose nothing other than the time it takes to get it the best I can . Witch on windows 8.1 I had to do some things to it as well. I buy computers that come with Windows I don't buy Windows lol.

Its not about features of windows 10 of different versions but if you look at the updates released schedule and the frequency for different versions then I wouldn't have to tell that having LTSB is another good reason of dodging frequent-faulty updates...cos LTSB gets throughly checked, few & stable updates. I never had any trouble with Windows 10 updates so far once i get them installed the biggest problem i had was installing them from auto updates there slow and get stuck a lot . When a new major release of windows 10 comes out the 1st build of windows 10 is always the worse after they deploy updates to make it more stable. RS1 only gets stability updates and security updates and it will always have crappy slow updates they are not going fix this in RS1. its going be fixed in RS 2 with Unified Update Platform (UUP). I dont use insider builds witch get system changes every release .and I cant speak for everyone but i never had no problem in RS1 so far i dont even get bsod or anything just installing updates suck. Microsoft did not deploy RS 1 to everyone at once no ways , most people you read in the media who had trouble with RS1 they did not wait tell Microsoft approved it via live updates . If you install a new release without them deeming you're system is compatible there's no one to blame but yourself and if you're not willing to trouble shoot you should wait tell it gets on live updates that way you can blame Microsoft for it , if it dont work right. But if you jump the gun and install the day it comes out before they give it to you if something goes wrong it was your fault.

Damn right, but still issues are there and takes time to identify them all but I like LTSB-updating scheme cos I dont have to go look and do some research for it when even the fix that was supposed to fix something had broken something else. & about Rest of it, your POV is right when it comes to who to blame. For me I never cared in the case of windows 10 i always make a restore before I update if it gives me problems I just restore to before I done updates . Back when I was on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 i had to uninstall a few botched updates and wait. the bottom line is Enterprise Windows is not meant for home users and if you're pirating it you're at Microsoft mercy that one day they will put something in it again like they did when they put Watt in windows 7 and kill the cracks . I been a pirate for 15 years and i dont put no faith in cracks to work forever and I seen 1000s stop working in my life . I pirated a lot of things in my life but never the OS on my production system I would use a stable version of Linux witch is free to begin with that never has botched updates and give up pirating software before I would use cracks to activate my production system. To each there own i guess.
