As we told you in the report about the second Beta of Kodi 17, the final release of the popular media center is launching later this fall with numerous new features and improvements in areas like skinning, video playback, PVR/DVR, live TV, music library, etc. Beta 3 comes three weeks after the release of the second Beta milestone, and it includes a bunch of fixes for various issues reported by users since then. "The changes for this third beta are the result of the continuous effort from the developers, either from inside the team or outside to get v17 into final release shape. and any outside. Most of them are bug fixes, but we can't help but notice that there's now proper screen scale for latest iOS devices, such as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the implementation of a "Time" button on the PVR information dialog, and amlogic passthrough support on Android 5-powered devices. Moreover, there are now some extra music roles in the Music sections, the ability to exclude singles in recently played albums, support for displaying text during various migrations tasks, such as add-on or database upgrades, along with the ability to fetch information from both .nfo and scraper files. Kodi 17 "Krypton" Beta 3 is available for download right now via our website for Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Android, and iOS operating systems. However, please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, not suitable for daily use. Paft Posted October 6, 2016 Share Posted October 6, 2016 Do any tablets exist solely for watching movies? I'm after a 9"+ tablet solely for kodi in bed. I assume not. It would be good to see a a range of tablets with the cost focusing on the display. No camera and specifications that are just enough for kodi. edit: I'll just go for a Fire HD 8 or 10 Tablet.
