steven36 Posted October 5, 2016 Share Posted October 5, 2016 I can not imagine my day without using any of Google's product and Google Chrome is a most used program in my computer, recently one developer has to rebuild Chrome without any Google service support. Yes! A Chrome browser without Google, your browser will not communicate with Google products and services at all. You can choose to use Google service normally or totally get rid of them. A Google-free version of Chrome is built on open source Chromium and of course, this browser is packed with all feature of the latest version of Google Chrome browser and promising interface, performance is there. This browser is being called UnGoogled. There is no difference but by default your privacy is more important. Here are some of the feature of UnGoogled Browser:- Remove or disable all services featured in Google Chrome browser which communicates with Google whether you are logged in or not. Open Source. Add and Modify features to control your privacy with complete transparency. Enjoy your privacy. Im enjoying playing around with this one my self on Linux Mint 18 i done figured out how to download extension offline and drag and drop them to install ..The masses use google chrome anyways so really you're opinion is stuck in that 5% bracket that uses Firefox I use Firefox too but I see it becoming like Chrome every day. UnGoogled updates way more than SRWare Iron that's been around for years does witch lies about you're privacy if you use SRWare you may as well use Virgin Chromium and the reason we know they lie it's open source and can look at the code. that's why i don't bother to join the Wilders Security community and i knew about it since 2008 and i do belong too github . I rather help out with certain projects than to talk about them just like I donate to certain ones i use when i can. 2.The project is open source its powered by the open source community meaning anyone can contribute as long as you belong too github . 3.You could even fork you're own version. Most projects over at Wilders Security is property software i'm not interested in making some dev money.. Researchers get paid good to find bugs in property software so there not even interested in helping them out ether unless they pay up So they charge money and try to freeload off the users knowledge. They trust some closed source project many that have pup in there installers and they could be a backdoor in it . But they don't trust projects that you can get the source code too? Sorry but they don't make no sense . . 4.
