The Mozilla Foundation has cut down, refined, and proposed new logos for its rebranding project that started three months ago, after initially putting forward seven logos for user review in mid-August.

Realizing that most people still identify Firefox as Mozilla and vice versa, the Foundation started in June a total rebranding project with the help of Johnson Banks, a UK-based design firm.

The process began with a round of gathering initial user feedback on Mozilla's current identity, and in August, the design firm proposed seven general routes for the Foundation's rebrand.

After a month of sifting through user reviews, reading tweets, and design blogs on their proposed logos, Mozilla has gone back to the drawing board with Johnson Banks' designers and have now come up with four new logo & brand proposals.

The Foundation has kept only one of the initial seven proposals, scraped four, and used two to create new logo variations.

"These [four logos] will continue to be refined over the course of the next two weeks, then put through global consumer testing," said Tim Murray, Creative Team Lead for Mozilla. "We expect a brand identity recommendation to emerge in October."

Now these are more good, though still not the best. Within these I will go with the first one, it's similar to their current logo I think.
