Disable Password Reveal Button in Windows 10

On Windows 10 login screen, there is a button which allows the user to reveal the password. If you have entered your password but are not sure if you entered it correctly, you can click this button with the eye icon at the end of the password text field to see the typed password. If you are not happy with this feature, here is how you can disable it.

The reason you might want to disable it is for extra security.

Once it is disabled, you can be sure that nobody else is able to click the button quickly to reveal your password.

This can be done with a simple Registry tweak.

Open Registry Editor.

Go to the following Registry key:

If the mentioned key doesn't exist, then just create it.

To restore the default behavior, delete the DisablePasswordReveal parameter you have created.

You can download these Registry files to apply the tweak to your installed Windows 10.
