Law Enforcement Sources: Gun Used in Paris Terrorist Attacks Came from Phoenix

One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”

A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.

The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun’s ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch.

It’s not clear if the agency, which is responsible for cracking down on the illegal use and trafficking of firearms, did this because the individual was involved in the Fast and Furious gun-running scheme. An ATF spokesman, Corey Ray, at the agency’s Washington D.C. headquarters told Judicial Watch that “no firearms used in the Paris attacks have been traced” by the agency. When asked about the ROI report linking the weapon used in Paris to Phoenix, Ray said “I’m not familiar with the report you’re referencing.” Judicial Watch also tried contacting the Phoenix ATF office, but multiple calls were not returned.

The ATF ran the Fast and Furious experiment and actually allowed criminals, “straw purchasers,” working for Mexican drug cartels to buy weapons at federally licensed firearms dealers in Phoenix and allowed the guns to be “walked”—possessed without any knowledge of their whereabouts. The government lost track of most of the weapons and many have been used to murder hundreds of innocent people as well as a U.S. Border Patrol agent, Brian Terry, in Arizona. A mainstream newspaper reported that a Muslim terrorist who planned to murder attendees of a Muhammad cartoon contest in Garland, Texas last year bought a 9-millimeter pistol at a Phoenix gun shop that participated in the ATF’s Fast and Furious program despite drug and assault charges that should have raised red flags. Judicial Watch has thoroughly investigated Fast and Furious and has sued the Obama administration for information about the once-secret operation

Keep your guns south of the Great White North's border. Guns snuck north across the border are killing innocent civilians.

It is amazing how everyone blames the gun for the killings.  We don't blame the governments who take in and allow these terrorists to roam our streets, we don't blame the radicals, and we don't blame politicians who think the solution is to make more laws when the laws we have on the books would have stopped the purchase and transfer of the guns IF those laws were enforced.  Admittedly I am a gun owner, I have more guns than computers (currently 38 computers), I carried a gun most of my life, I used a gun most of my life, but I have also used a crossbow and a knife and explosives.  If I want you dead I don't need a gun, matter of fact my favorite weapon is a crossbow.  It is silent, deadly and can't be traced, just don't touch the bolt with your bare hands.  You do realize that cars kill more people than guns and that using a cell phone while driving is the same as driving drunk (as far as your ability  to control the vehicle is concerned) and yet we never outlaw cars, and though communities have outlawed the use of cellphones while driving, it is apparent that law is not enforced either by the obvious use of cellphones still today.  Laws are just another way of paying lip service to a problem, not a solution.  They only keep the honest person from having a gun since most of the gun deaths are committed by people who cannot legally own a gun anyway but get them off the black market, so the current laws aren't even effective in stopping that.  If you don't believe that, come to San Francisco and go to Turk and Taylor about 2 a.m. but you better be well armed and have an army with you, and oh, yeah, you better not be white.  And it has been proven that if people in most of the incidents that have occurred had been armed that they could have prevented the majority of deaths.  There have been many examples of that but the media refuses to report them or buries them so deep that most people don't even realize what happened.  When guns are outlawed only the outlaws will still have guns, then what do you do.

I'm amending 'anti-gun' statement; it's mostly nut-jobs with access to a variety of weapons.

Is this amendment kosher? B)

I still shake my head & wonder what possesses someone to rant on for numerous paragraphs. :rasta:

Don't they realize they create an awful stench forced upon OP? :shit:

i own guns too...nobody wants to take the legal right to own guns     only to try and keep them out of the hands of the ftards...i am sure you know a few people over the years that should never be allowed to even hold a loaded weapon least of all own a fully automatic assault rifle....

I know a lady with a concealed carry permit.

She can go into god awful cursing / bitching fits...

I'm no med guy buy did net research.. bi-polar fits.

She is afraid of her own shadow.

So crazy that should be noticeable she shouldn't have a gun.

Thousands more like her out there I'm sure.

And you know what... her personality, looks, behavior .

.. is exactly like a lady named Hillary that's in the news lately.

So be careful around seemingly cheerful, hyperactive women.

They can turn on you in an instant, like a crazy on/off switch.

Appears to me anyone in America can buy a gun & get a permit to carry it hidden.

Somethings wrong somewhere, somehow.

It's been proven ... uummh how exactly has this been proven ?  where is this evidence.

Good lord... not the .. more guns would make everyone safe crap... If only everyone had a gun .. seriously , have you seen how poorly some people deal with conflict resolution... you looked at me funny.. bang.. that loaf of bread was mine.. bang.  you cut me off bang...

Guns don't kill people.. bullets do..

How can any "responsible" gun owner stand in the way of closing the gun show loop hole ? or denying people on watch lists from getting a firearm or god forbid having everyone wait 3 days to get firearm... in all states.  And do we really need AR15's for hunting ?  LOL

For the record.. I own a number of firearms . from hand gun to long guns... and I'm all in favor of some heavy restrictions on people having any access to them..

You sir. have been brain washed by the NRA and all the gun manufacturers.  This is purely about money and greed.. nothing else.  The NRA have perverted the constitution to suit their own needs and spun this into a us vs the gov...The really sad thing is that people are simply to stupid and simple minded to to see it.  Do we really want people who lack any ability for critical thinking to possess firearms ?  Perish the thought...

Guns don't kill by themselves; people kill.

Not Law-Abiding Citizens but Criminals and Terrorists.
