Batu69
New cumulative update, new problems for a number of users Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 cumulative update KB3163018 a few hours ago, and it turns out that just like the previous CUs, this new one is also causing issues on a number of PCs. Frequent Softpedia readers might recall that we’ve reported installation issues with many other cumulative updates that Microsoft has rolled out for Windows 10 in the previous months. Still, no matter how hard the company has struggled to get this one right, KB3163018 also appears to be suffering from the same problems. For the moment, however, it’s important to note that these are just isolated reports, and it’s not very clear how widespread the KB3163018 installation issues actually are. But this is exactly how it started in the case of all the other cumulative updates, and the number of complaints is likely to grow as more people install it. “Undoing changes” The most common report reveals that KB3163018 fails to install and then the installer undoes changes to get users back to the desktop. Windows Update then re-attempts to install the same update, so PCs are pushed into some kind of update loop that can’t be stopped unless the patch installs successfully or users manually hide KB3163018. In some cases, users claimed that they were getting BSODs after installing this new cumulative updates while others explained that various Windows 10 features stopped working correctly due to changes brought by the patch. On the other hand, it looks like a big number of users actually managed to install the cumulative update successfully, so Microsoft is doing a good job of reducing the crash rate of its patches. As usual, if you’re experiencing any problems installing this cumulative update, you need to make yourself heard because Microsoft engineers are out there to collect data on reported crashes and to provide a workaround should any exist. We’ll keep an eye out for more reports and determine how widespread these issues actually are. Article source

Ryrynz
You'll always get some with issues who knows the state of those systems before they updated anyway.. Updated two my my PC's without issue, will do a dozen or so at work tomorrow for the hell of it, bet I won't have any issues there either. *Updated over two dozen different PC's (HP, Lenovo, Acers) No problems. Kalju
Personally I have installed it into different computers, haven't had no problems. Different means several computer types and producers. The problem, however, is probably something other than this update.

Probably has more to do with your tablet's system setup than it does Microsoft's coders and their ability to code for edge cases. Love how you throw blame around without any investigation what so ever, kinda something an imbecile would do no? Also, Karlston. You come across as a smart guy but you like shitposts and throw out any notion of that actually being the case out the tenth window. Congrats. I did too i solved that problem for good though i installed another O/S all together on that PC , I had problems on 2 PCs both had different hardware with updates and i know problems do exist . I know i used Windows 8.1 since 2014 and never had any problems with its updates Windows 8 and Windows 10 Failing to install updates it's got to do with it's still a green O/S updates are not stable for everyone. Windows 7 I had problems with updates being slow to come up . Windows 8.1 I never had any problems at all other than having to hide get windows 10 updates. The thing about it, they force updates on home users and as long as you can put them off as a pro user is one month on windows 10 . Sooner or latter, there going to send out a update on windows 10 that's going mess up millions of installs and you people will change you're tune, when it's you're turn. This is predicted to happen, once the masses get on windows 10 . It's about a month off tell redstone rtm and there just now trying to stabilize it , so they will be some bugs in it., its been a bloody nightmare for insiders. I'm using a rolling release on Linux now it gets bleeding edge updates about once every week or two they only test updates like a week and it's not really gave no one much trouble in years ...When will Microsoft achieve this? Surface Pro 4 with Windows 10 made by Microsoft, witch is newer hardware had to have tons of firmware updates to go with windows updates and it still has issues, by the time hey get the bugs out Surface Pro 5 will be out. this is the reason there going put Redstone update 2 off for along time.
