Has Google Admitted that it is a source of Malware? — Yes indeed!

Google.com has become a potent source of malware infections. This hasn’t been claimed by any security expert or security firm but by Google itself.

“Some pages on Google.com contain deceptive content right now,” this was the status that we encountered when we checked out the Safe Browsing Site Status of Google’s transparency report about two days ago.

When we went further on the site’s safety details, we came across four warnings. One of the warnings read: “some pages on this website redirect visitors to dangerous websites that install malware on visitors’ computers.”

Another reads: “Attackers on this site might try to trick you to download software or steal your information (for example passwords, messages, or credit card information).”

It is, however, quite interesting that Google had flagged itself as partially dangerous. This status was posted two days ago. Later on, Google modified the status and changed dangerously with “not dangerous.” Moreover, the warning regarding the phishing URLs probability has also been deleted.

The next morning, that was yesterday, the status again flagged itself as partially dangerous.

Google might have fixed some of the issues it was facing regarding phishing links and therefore, changed the status. Some other problems of similar nature might have sprouted and hence, Google switched back to its old status.

It is understandable that there are malicious links circulating on the world’s most used search engine because its database is massive and some links leading to malware is perhaps inevitable. But then, one wonders, actually how many are these malicious links, what’s their actual percentage? Well, only Google knows.

At the time of publishing this article, Google was marked as a safe site, however, Tumblr was marked as a potentially unsafe site to visit.

Google mark many sites dangerous on the fact they  hosted  some cracks with false positive  PUP and  if the link went dead or the site removed the PUP  Google  would no longer detect it . Maybe they fixed the problem and its gone now . But saying there's no dangerous content on Google is not the truth they make ads that could be hijacked  by malware authors. Many Malware laced programs been found hosted by Google and also they have Google Drive were someone could upload malware . Many times i download something from Google and  it will say they cant scan it for Virus  and I scan it after i download it. I would not use Google safe browsing  if you paid me too . It only will block whole sites based on one file even if you're not downloading the suspected  file . And it logs you  at  every site you visit  so it  harvest you're data  Its shit!

You forgot this part of it though .the  fact some sites on Google lead you to  malware  and the fact it was updated today.

It's common, I have seen it before and shared the same with the nsane staff before.

The problem is, their credibility is in question as they have started marking fix providing sites as bad. Including our FP.

well, if their measure of how dangerous a site is the number of malicious links in it, then google.com is THE most dangerous site on the internet!
