Batu69
On top of the world! Photographer captures stunning images of daredevil standing on top of a 10,000-foot mountain in the French Alps The daredevil climbed to the top of the 10,000-foot Aiguille Dibona mountain in the middle of the French Alps Climbers who manage to get tot the top of the mountain have to strap themselves in as the ledge is so narrow Photographer Thomas Vuillaume, 28, made the amazing climb himself so he could capture the amazing images Before reaching the top, adventurers face a gruelling two-hour climb up an almost sheer rock face Photographer Thomas Vuillaume had to brave the ascent himself in order to capture these incredible images A daredevil who clearly has a head for heights is just a spec on the horizon as he stands on the tip of a sharp mountain peak. Thrill-seekers scaled the vertical mountain which is a perilous climb just to take in the surrounding views. Climbers who have braved the steep ascent must strap themselves in at the top of the mountain as there is barely room to stand. These daredevils threw their arms out wide when they reached the top of the famous Aiguille Dibona, a French mountain which stands a huge 10,270ft tall. From the top of the peak climbers are able to take in the stunning views of snowy mountain tops that surround them. The final climb to the top of the mountain takes around two hours and is only recommended for experienced climbers due to the vertical cliff face. These pictures were taken by photographer Thomas Vuillaume, 28, who dared to climb with his camera for the shots. The team of climbers fix their ropes as they attempt to ascend the final few metres of the mountain and take in the amazing view Mr Vuillaume, who lives in the French Alps, said: 'They are climbing the famous peak Dibona. 'The warmth and lack of snow allowed us to make this climb in very good conditions. 'These climbers I was with are experienced so they know what they're doing. 'At the top there isn't much room to stand, it isn't flat either so you have to be strapped in. 'At the top it is quite scary, being surrounded only by air is always scary. But there is also joy, adrenaline and freedom. 'The journey to the top starts with a walk of several hours up to the refuge, where people usually spend the night. 'For the easiest way, there is an hour walking and then two hours climbing to the top. The way down takes about the same amount of time.' More amazing images here.
