Donald Trump and FBI Want to Arrest Anonymous for “Hacking and Leaking” Data That’s Been Online Since 2013

 

Looks like the online group of hacktivists, Anonymous have been reading Sun Tzu’s Art of War lately.

Anonymous used this preamble to Sun Tzu’s Art of War with extreme nicety to fight its cyberwar against Donald Trump and Trump fell for it hook, line and sinker.

 

On Friday, the Anonymous hackers set up a tidy little trap for Trump, his presidential campaign staff, the Secret Service, and the FBI — and they all fell for it. Anonymous announced that it had published all of Trump’s personal information — social security number, cell phone number, addresses — and FBI and Secret Service officials immediately made the move to arrest the group.

 

However, the information had not been hacked or leaked. In fact, everything Anonymous posted had been online — and available for anyone to see — for years.

Anonymous RedCult released a second video to explain the ruse, in which the narrator explains the information “was online since 2013.” Indeed, as the video states, “The government and law enforcement authorities are seeking the arrest of the people responsible for attempting to illegally hack Mr. Trump’s accounts and telephone information.”

 

Anonymous utilised the bait with the following statement in the video it posted:

“So the Trump campaign has accused us for hacking trump(sic) and went even further by asking to arrest us for publishing information that was already public and online. Trump wants to turn America into a fascist dictatorship where anyone can be arrested for just posting old information online.”

 

 

At the end of the video Anonymous even thanked Trump, his campaign team, and law enforcement for participating in its “little experiment.”

What anonymous did is called a feint, however, this is normally conducted with a massive attack at another location.  In anonymous' case there was no attack and only served to forewarn the 'enemy' of its attentions.  A waste of time, energy, and men in the eyes of SunTzu.  If you haven't fought in real battles, killed real men, and survived, you will never really fully comprehend the Art of War.
