John McAfee proposed Thursday to end the standoff between Apple and federal authorities over the decryption of the alleged San Bernardino shooter's iPhone without a lengthy battle by offering to unlock the phone for them. The McAfee founder and presidential hopeful said in a Business Insider op-ed that his team of “some of the best hackers on the planet” who have “talents that defy normal human comprehension” could use social engineering to crack the code in three weeks. “I will, free of charge, decrypt the information on the San Bernardino phone, with my team” so that Apple doesn't have to place a backdoor on its product, he said."I would eat my shoe on the Neil Cavuto show if we could not break the encryption on the San Bernardino phone." McAfee also criticized the FBI for not being able to crack the phone on its own despite its resources. If they could easy do it they would not of asked to begin with. And putting holes in encryption software from the USA the idea is really moot since most terrorist are a step ahead of the government and are using non USA based encryption software on there phones and pcs already so the only thing this backdoor could achieve is for them to spy on mostly innocent people. HTH This is a test if they can win them getting this one backdoor put in based on a old law from 1700s then it will be very easy for them to get vendors in the USA to do anything the say. Apple has had back doors in there software before not that many years ago .In a old IOS version 7 or older Apple had a tool to unlock it . The USA is full of dumb old laws that they never use tell they find a reason to enforce them . Same with many sites online and rules and stuff and jobs you work etc. favoritism when i was young me and my co workers use to break rules all the time and they never fired us for it but if it was someone they wanted to get rid of they would use these rules. .. Unless the phone is a decoy and there is useless information in it to distract the government from something else there is useful information on the phone or there may not be anything on it no kitten pictures no information that can help the government and the terrorist that owned the phone could have just been paranoid and encrypted it because he can. I read that tim cooke is going to fight the us government on this and thats what hes doing I hope apple doesnt create specialized software it doesnt matter if apple can destroy it afterwards its considered a backdoor no matter what the us government says apple knows what there doing. I have listened to everything hes warned me about and I was being sarcastic if you live in a fantasy world of you dont live in a fantasy world I dont care stop insinuating i do. I learn from my mistakes all the time what makes you think I dont. I believe there is something on that phone and i dont think apple should make the software how else are they going to get access to the phone.
