Microsoft's Build 2016: March 30 to April 1

It's official: Microsoft's Build 2016 event is happening from March 30 to April 1 in San Francisco next year

Unsurprisingly, Microsoft is going back to San Francisco for its annual Build developers conference next year.

And as of today, December 4, we now have the official dates: March 30 to April 1, 2016.

Microsoft isn't yet providing any details about what to expect next year at its major developers conference, but no doubt Windows 10 (Redstone 1), HoloLens, and the Universal Windows Platform all will be on the agenda.

After today's disclosure, Microsoft's conference calendar for 2016 is shaping up like this:

• Build: March 30 - April 1 in San Francisco
• Convergence: April 4-7, 2016 in New Orleans
• WPC: July 10-14, 2016 in Toronto
• Microsoft Ignite: September 26-30, 2016 in Atlanta

Microsoft pushed back its Ignite 2016 IT pro conference earlier this year and changed venues from Chicago to Atlanta.

Convergence has evolved to become Microsoft cross-company business-decision-maker-focused show, rather than solely its Dynamics CRM/ERP event. WPC, or the Worldwide Partner Conference, continues to be its show for its channel partners.
