Redmond praises its new Windows 10 OS update

Microsoft recently rolled out Windows 10 Threshold 2 and the company is now trying to make everyone aware of its existence, just to be sure that as many computers as possible are updated to this version to receive the latest improvements.

Part of this strategy is to highlight the optimizations that Microsoft has implemented in Threshold 2, and the company says that one of the most significant improvements is actually aimed at performance.

It’s no secret that the also-called November Update comes with a plethora of new features for first-party apps and the OS itself, but Redmond says that thanks to this version, Windows 10 is now even 30 percent faster than Windows 7.

Windows 7, the world’s number one desktop OS

Right now, Windows 7 is the world’s number one desktop operating system, with statistics showing that it runs on 50 percent of the PCs out there, which means that one in two computers is powered by this version. So upgrading Windows 7 computers to Windows 10 is Microsoft’s top priority, which means that this kind of statements isn't really surprising.

“Most importantly, with this free update we have reached the point in the platform’s maturity where we can confidently recommend Windows 10 deployment to whole organizations,” head of the Windows division, Terry Myerson, said in the official Threshold 2 announcement.

More specifics on where Windows 10 performs better than Windows 7 are not available, but Microsoft says that one particular area where it tried to improve was boot time, so the new OS should load faster than its predecessors on the same device.

Of course, this depends on a number of factors, but generally, Windows 10 Threshold 2 does feel faster than Windows 7 and 8.1. It remains to be seen, however, how many bugs are actually in this update because the overall experience after updating is expected to be significantly improved.

There is a working way and so far it's the easiest way. use this tool in this thread

it uses build-in windows update engine to check for update, unlike other similar tools that check for updates separately. you can hide/unhide any available updates so they won't show up in the main Windows update but still let other updates to show up.

Thanks a lot brothers, Now I can give it another chance as I can control updates (I mostly don't update the OS :D ), colored title bar is a nice addition too in the new Win 10 build
