vissha
Internet Explorer Still the Number One Browser in the World, Edge Very Far BehindData shows IE remains the leading browser worldwideInternet Explorer is no longer the default browser in Windows, but this doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is ready to give up on it and switch to a different application.Statistics provided by Net Applications for October 2015 show that Internet Explorer continues to the lead the browser world with a share of 50.86 percent, which means that at least one in two PC users actually launched this particular browser the last month.Google Chrome is the second option for desktop users with a share of 31.12 percent while Firefox is third with 11.28 percent.Version-wise, Internet Explorer 11 is number one with 24.36 percent, but this isn't surprising at all given the fact that it's the default browser in Windows 7 and 8.1, two of the most-used versions of Windows right now.Internet Explorer 8 is second with 11.64 percent, against not surprising at all given the impressive usage this particular version has in the enterprise field. Most companies developed apps and services that are specifically compatible with Internet Explorer 8, and this is one of the reasons behind this impressive share.Microsoft Edge's market shareGoogle Chrome 45 is third with 10.59 percent and all the other versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer follow with a share below 10 percent. As far as Edge is concerned, the new Windows 10 browser is far behind with 2.66 percent, small growth from 2.40 percent the month before. While these figures might seem disappointing at first, keep in mind that Microsoft Edge is exclusively available on Windows 10, and the Redmond-based software giant doesn't seem to be planning to bring it on other platforms, be they Windows or non-Windows.Edge is, however, projected to receive some significant improvements in the coming months, including support for extensions, which should help the browser become a fiercer rivals for Chrome and Firefox, which already boast such functionality.Source

Just because they launched it a few times don’t mean they use it as default . Because most everyone is on windows and It has IE in it duh. No one uses it at home any more much , its mostly just used at work.
