Karamjit
This is an example “direct response to feedback” If you're already on Windows 10, you probably know that Microsoft doesn't provide any change log with the updates it releases for your operating system, aside from some very short mentions of “improvements and performance optimizations.”So it's absolutely no surprise that the majority of users running Windows 10 criticized Microsoft for this sudden change, especially because they want always to be in full control of the updates they install, which sometimes could actually do more harm than good.Fortunately, it appears that Microsoft has received the message, and Windows boss Terry Myerson says that the software giant is now working to change this approach and provide us with change logs for every single Windows 10 update that it pushes to our computers.“Consumer feedback”Obviously, Myerson used this occasion to praise Microsoft's new collaboration with users, saying that it's all living proof that they are actively listening to our opinions (we're still waiting for tabs in File Explorer, by the way).“As an example of direct response to feedback we’ve received, we will be improving our documentation of what has changed within any individual update, and improving scheduling options for when updates are installed. This collaboration with Insiders is invaluable to our team, and we continue to welcome anyone who wants to work with us on the future of Windows 10,” Myerson recently said.Right now, it's not yet clear when Microsoft actually plans to provide us with information on the Windows 10 updates it ships, but given the fact that Threshold 2 is just around the corner, this would be a good moment to start doing this.Cumulative updates are released at a rather fast pace and according to their brief change logs, they are only supposed to improve performance and fix bugs. And yet, it's no secret that there's more under the hood, so luckily, starting with Threshold 2 we'll know more about the changes they bring. From
RejZoR
What about selectable updates like in Windows 8.1 ? The new "install all the crap" nonsense is pissing me off. I get it, they want to force users into installing security updtaes, but why are they also forcing optional and driver updates is beyond me. I've had more problems because of this with Windows 10 than with ALL older Windows versions combined in all the years.I don't get it why don't they just copy the Windows 8.1 updating system and simply force only security updates and leave the rest up tot he user? I've updated my system as soon as updates were available, but I wanted to manually check them and decide what to download and install by myself and because of that I've never had any problems, because I simply unchecked stuff like drivers, because I keep it up to date through official vendor drivers and not the ones from Windiows Update.I really don't understand Microsoft, they are behaving like Windows 10 is their first OS ever and they have no clue what the fuck they are even doing. Windows 10 is abomination.

Not only controlling updates but actually watching everything that is done on your computer. Big Brother actually appeared 31 years late. You have options, you don't have to run Windows 10. Running Windows 10 is what we use to refer to as a 'self-inflicted trick fuck'. If you are going to run it then don't complain, at least to anyone but Microsoft, since the only advice we can give you to alleviate your mental anguish is 'format C'. Karlston
A good first step, seems Microsoft are beginning to realise that the vast majority of Windows 7 and 8.1 users are rejecting Windows 10 and seeing through their deceptive marketing spin and aggressive upgrade methods. However, unless they bring back the Windows 7 and 8.1 style of detailed and individual updates, and allow people to choose whether or not to have the updates rammed down their throats, Windows 10 will continue to be rejected. We live in interesting times... :)(For the record I am NOT anti-Windows-10, I'm against Microsoft's Windows 10 cumulative-mystery-forced-update-russian-roulette methodology and their highly aggressive methods to do all but force Windows 7 and 8.1 users to upgrade)
