More simply direct Install DFX 12.010, follow Option two of november_ra1n

tested DFX 12.010+miniLyrics 7.7.49 Worked Fine on Wins 10 x64

On my system when I tired this it worked tell I rebooted out of Disable driver signature enforcement then it didn't allow the driver to to run in normal mode . Once I installed v12 over v11 the driver stays signed and worked.

Im not the only person this happened too.

It did work once for me. But after rebooting the drivers will not be allowed load again.

There must be a way to permanently allow a unsigned driver.

As it stands now you have go through all those 9 steps and do an extra restart. Every time you start or reboot the computer.

there's a way you can make unsigned driver.work in test mode .

a. Locate the executable file (.exe file) for the driver installation program.

b. Right-click the file, and then click Properties.

c. In the Package Name Properties dialog box, click the Compatibility tab.

d. Click to select the Run this program in compatibility mode for check box, click Windows 8 with which it is compatible with in the Run this program in compatibility mode for list, and then click OK.

e. Double-click the executable file to start the installation program.

But they only work in test mode

Yes it worked! The installer crashed with a blue screen.

But when rebooted the drivers will load under test mode.

I still need to use test mode to disable driver signature enforcement but no error messages or problems.

I dont want them to load in test mode I want it to work in normal mode therefore only installing v12 over v11 works 100% for me. :)

But, with this new build, they have not corrected the driver signing issue for 64 bit Windows. Seems, there is no money for spending to sign drivers from Windows Hardware Quality Labs. So, target is 32 bit OS I think.

Not working in Windows 10 x64 (I know how to disable this check, but, won't hurt Windows that way).

Installing on top of last 11.x was the way here.

Yes, I found this a few posts earlier, the method seems work. But, with old drivers active, I think!!!

I've done a clean install, by the way. Then uninstall from my machine.

it doesn't work. when i restart doing bcdedit /set testsigning off. DFX doesn't work. it only appears in system tray.

None of this stuff posted on here worked for me but this.

I installed DFX v12 over v11 without any problem

and used the patch

(Win 8.1 x64)

I install version 12 over version 11 and it worked fine . :)

the driver stays signed by installing overtop of v11

Could you upload the pfx signed driver and the setup version 11 of DFX Audio Enhancer ???

And could you tell me with what did you activate V11 >> with Keygen or Patch ???

Yes sternog, it's working with new Driver Active. Though my approach is different. I ripped the drivers from old installer, manually install it, then install version 12 of DFX. That is all.

Driver (version 11) files to install manually:

http://www.upload.ee/files/5288927/Drivers.7z.html

In short, the processes are:

1. Unapack driver files.

2. Rightclick on dfx11_1x64.inf and select install. Complete installation.

3. Then install dfx12Setup.exe.

4. Everything should be fine.

DFX.exe is not changed in this version.

The driver is digitally signed and it is installed fine for me.

But for those having problems, follow the DFX 11 to 12 upgrade procedure, a.k.a. installed it over the old DFX version 11 or follow hawk007's advise from his post above.

Also installing version 12 twice will get you what you need.

First time you will get the installation error ---> Task manager close the installer --> install second time v12 exe files this time installation will be completed with no error driver sig...etc...

you tested or ...?
that someone could "repackage" installation (drivers etc...)- who knows or - (thinking out loud but...) - if at all possible...
Me working on Win 10 (x64) but...it would be nice (I say again, who knows and who wants) to do some "tweaks" that work around (Driver Signature)
I hope you understand what SM wanted to say ?
If such a thing even possible ?

I belive and I do not doubt...
and more ... it was not the point of my post - excuse me
repackaged installation (with some app) to circumvent (Driver Signature) - if it can ...It interests me,greeting....

Yep installing overtop works fine for me but its been days and still no bug fix version .. DFX.exe is not the only thing that don’t change very often DFX Driver from version 11 from 2015 was still signed 2011 so I have doubts that you get any improvement by updating every time.

On Windows 7 Ultimate x64 -

Installation got stacked for some minutes until a "time-up" appeared, clicked ok and got ".\DFxSetupDrv.ccp" error popped up, clicked ok "setting driver name failed".

edit: finally pushed through, but i doubt if it would be working, would have to uninstall and install again.

DFX has a better sound than most i tired , some alternatives are louder than it is but it has the best sound . I only use it when I run across something with low sound . Mostly its for players that don’t already have a audio enhancer . Most all modern players have them built in . Also it depends on how loud is you’re sound card to begin with. Each PC I have has different sound quality with the same speakers . ;)

Beats Audio is the default audio in my laptop. The EQ is set to default, and no surround sound. It sounds great. DFX was a disappointment.

Same as my Dell Tower it has built in Beats Audio and its very loud on it , but my Gateway don’t have it only has Realtek HD so I use DFX for windows and System-Wide PulseAudio Equalizer in Linux on it.
