I was warned by MBAM of being infected with:

WinLogon: UserInit

userint

Can any member propose a workable and safer method of removing these two files from my system?

Friends reckon to leave them if being quarantined by MBAM. What do you propose or any other better alternative?

Thanks very much for your Great HELP!

Well the truth is that in fact these files are a part of your OS... They should not be removed.. UNLESS somehow your system has been circumvented in some way and the files truly are infections.. This could be a false positive.. You need to actually backtrace the file and associated files and get info from that file to check and see if it is valid or if a malicious install has replaced them on boot..

If they are you will have to replace the files with original ones for your system or reinstall your OS.. if they have been removed by MBAM already then you may have a hard time signing in or booting your system.. Unless your system does a repair.

EDIT: This could be modified by some programs using customization techniques in older OSes.

i prefer to use Sysinternal's Autoruns for troubleshooting before deciding whether to delete/quarantine userinit entries

Try other malware / spyware scanners to get a result list of this infected file

Hitman Pro

Emsisoft malwarescanner

Spybot search and destroy

Good luck
