Batu69
Stats show Windows 10 is far behind its rivalsWindows 10 is growing at a faster pace in countries across the world, but as far as China, which continues to be one of the largest software markets for many companies, including Microsoft, the new OS has a really tough time trying to convince users to upgrade. Adoption figures provided by StatCounter for China show that between July 29, the date when the new OS got the green light, and September 20, only 3.4 percent upgraded to Windows 10, which makes it the fourth most used desktop operating system in the country. Right now, Windows 7 is the clear leader with 59.47 percent of the market, followed by Windows XP, which still owns 24.78 percent of the PCs in the country. Windows 8.1 is third and far behind the other two with 6.5 percent. Why Windows 10 fails to make an impact in China One of the reasons that make Windows 10 a less appealing choice for Chinese users is the local level of piracy, as it’s believed that many computers in the country are actually running copies of Windows that aren’t legitimate. In other words, a big part of the Windows 7 and Windows XP market share is made of desktop PCs powered by pirated Windows, so some computer users do not want to switch to Windows 10 because illegal activation methods aren’t so widespread right now, but also because their current setups work very well just the way they are right now. At the same time, given Windows XP’s shocking market share right now, it’s pretty clear that many Chinese users still own old systems powered by hardware which might not be able to run Windows 10, so the overall cost of the transition to Windows 10 might be higher than initially expected. Windows 7 is very likely to remain the clear leader of the Chinese market for many years from now, so it’ll be interesting to see how Microsoft tries to convince local users to upgrade to Windows 10. steven36
Chinese people are not stupid. They see crap, Windows 10 and stick crap where it should be put, in a recycle bin.Ether you can embrace the scary new technology and benefit from it or ether you could end up like people on XP with no security updates and one day software developers will even stop supporting you're O/S. Most likely developers will really stop updating for XP once Windows 10 passes it in marketshare witch they except to happen soon . windows 10 is fixing have another surge of users by NOV when the next version hits GA . People keep talking about Windows 7 but with the clock ticking away and less than 5 years left of updates i see no future in it . Just like XP witch stayed on top tell 2011 it fell but windows 7 will never get those extra years of support like XP did Microsoft sunk everything into windows 10 , sooner or latter windows 7 will fall too nothing last forever. :) Windows 10 is here to stay according to M$ they wont be a Windows 11 . But one thing is for sure windows 7 is not here too stay. Sooner or latter you're pc will become a classic like the 98 windows i have collecting dust that was upgraded from Windows 95 . Also my windows XP is collecting dust... maybe one day I'll get bored and install Linux on it  :tooth: :dance2: :naughty:
CODYQX4
It this point it doesn't matter. They're baking all the spyware into 7-8.1, including servers. If you choose to use Moogle's spyware you may as well use the newest, because there's no staying on 7 without no updating like XP.

So mostly only some youngsters of US and Europe use Win10 (or try to use). :tease:But all others prefer a normal, non-ugly, non-buggy and with privacy OS! Holmes
Windows ten is the end of version numbers not the end of windows as microsoft said the next windows is going to be called simply "Windows". When I get a couple of real life issues taken care of im going to get rid of my pirated windows eight point one and use windows ten on that hard drive a legal windows ten. As long as this privacy FUD is here and is being posted by all these websites and causing hysteria china and places like it (canada is not like china Im just saying its a different place that is questioning windows ten truthworthiness. Whats really irritating is seeing microsoft add cortana features to edge and snapping features when they need to be getting edge with extensions and tabs in file explorer (Im getting impatient when it goes to that). Im on windows seven right now and Im loving it. I dont have any problems and really dont see a good reason to use windows ten over seven at the moment. I do have to say that part of the problem users choose seven over ten is microsoft's disregard for addressing what many places are questioning right now (they cant really get mad at anyone). Who knows they might be standing by for the right moment to say something there taking there time is the problem.

If you choose to use Moogle's spyware you may as well use the newest, because there's no staying on 7 without no updating like XP.It was just a ploy by Microsoft to get people to give in to the new scary technology , The death to other O/S .. they dont wont windows 7 to end up like XP were a lot people stays on it. There's a full list of updates to not be installed Also it can be blocked via firewall and Spybot and windows privacy tweaker work for it. But I doubt the ploy will work because even people who dont care if it spies on them or not , are going to mess around and stay on windows 7 tell 2019 at least because they dont like change and a lot end having to pay for windows 10 one day too. . A lot people just use the spying excuse because they need a excuse, even though most all of it can be disabled .They just dont like change. :PBut regardless if you use windows 10 or windows 7 or 8.1 you have to block telemetry or and dont install certain updates unless . unless you're a M$ fanboy who dont care about there privacy or just dont know any better. There still is a lot people on XP even though windows 7 is 6 years old because they dont like change, it dont got :shit: to do with spying really ..people just need and excuse to not change . Now Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 has it too it shows its just and excuse too. If they were really worried they would not use windows at all. :naughty: From Microsoft :P
