As European governments argue over who should take in the thousands of desperate people, European citizens have criticized the speed and scale of the help offered, whilst simultaneously donating money, food, and equipment to help those in desperate need.Now Google has stepped in, offering €1 million ($1.1 million) to the organizations providing help to refugees. In addition to this, Google.org (the branch of the company "using innovation to tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges") is setting up a page to make it easier for people to make donations, and says that it will match any money donated by Google users. Google's donation to humanitarian aid organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières, and UNHCR is in response to what has been described as "the world’s biggest [refugee and migrant crisis] since the Second World War". The company says: "Given the severity of this crisis, we want to play our part in helping relieve the plight of refugees and migrants around the world".Writing on the Google Europe blog, Google.org director Jacqueline Fuller says: Google.org is donating €1M to organisations who are providing front-line humanitarian relief to migrants and refugees, such as International Rescue Committee, Médecins Sans Frontières, and UNHCR. If you take a shit in the US people will start clapping like you won an oscar.As jbleck said, we need to see the bigger picture to start blaming people. I got tired because they are becoming more and more agressive and they throw their papers near the border and they all say that they are syrians when they are not. Why? Because Merkel said that syrians can stay in Germany.The above attitude is the same that Juncker and the liberal EU politicans are defending and this will get the far right into the government. Far right will give the order to the army to shoot on sight and sh.t will hit the fan.Even if all the refugees are going to Germany they are going through my country and they bring chaos. Yesterday the police had to close a main highway to Budapest because the immigrants wanted to walk on the highway. They didn't want to use the bus or train that was sent to them.Also I remember when Canada started to send back hungarian gypsys because Hungary is a safe country. Some got beaten up really bad for these idiotism action.They need to learn how to shit at a public restroom, as in Europe you find one at 100 m away from each other at most. I hope that they all will migrate to Germany and UK, so they can get the murphy's law, I'd love to see the queen or whatever her name is surrounded by shit all around her palace.
