Windows 10 installed on over 75 million devices, covering over 90,000 unique PC and tablet models

Microsoft has now revealed that Windows 10 is currently installed on over 75 million devices since its launch on July 29, and that those installs cover 90,000 unique PCs and tablet models.

The new information was revealed via Twitter by Yusef Mehdi, Microsoft's Corporate Vice President, for the Windows and Devices Group. He stated that Windows 10 was "running in 192 countries, virtually every country on the planet". He added, "Even some devices manufactured in 2007 have upgraded to Windows 10."

It would appear, at least on the surface, that Microsoft's strategy of offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 owners for its first year is generating positive results.

I installed win 10 on 3 devices just to secure the free copy then rolled back to Win7 again.

The way windows 10 works not all computers are ready for Windows 10 yet no ways there using telemetry and comparing it to peoples pcs that will work and sending the upgrade out to people in that order. So that means if you used and ISO and installed it yourself and it don't work right you should roll back and wait tell it does . if it wasn't buggy on some pcs they would just made it and update that would install for everyone. But its been a month and not everyone got the upgrade . So if you used and iso and it dont work right and Microsoft didn't give you the upgrade you know it was never ready to began with . Sometimes taking matters into you're own hands is not always the best route. ;)

I think this is one of the reasons why you can't turn telemetry all the way off in Windows 10 because they use it to service others .

It just like most people had telemetry turned off in Windows 7 so Microsoft got the idea from that no one used the start menu anymore . And really flopped with windows 8. :s
