Is this method valid as today.

Since once I removed the key after been created by Reset and entered it to renew my NIS it says it is not valid.

Please let me know. I only have 5 days to expiration for NIS.

PM SENT THE KEY

Does ANYBODY in our forum GET THE 366 days NORTON KEY successfully ?

I got 180 days in my NIS 2010 using Windows XP in my virtual machine.

The next step according to the instructions in this posts is to enter into your NIS 2010 account and removed the key. This has the purpose of using that key in other PC with other operating system.

Once I load NIS in my Windows 7 64 bits to register the key it says it is not longer valid.

Is this procedure is still valid as today or maybe I am doing something wrong.

Please let me know the correct procedure or if it is valid as today. Thanks.

Yes, just change your IP address to French IP address when you activate NIS, and everything is good with you again:P

Using AutoHideIP 5.1.2.8 changed IP address to France.

Once removed the license from my NIS2010 (using VM, Windows XP) copied it to my NIS in my PC (with IP address of France) and still says

Invalid product key

( " The product key is not valid for your region, and may not be used for product activation. (-2009)" error )

Also tried with other countries fake IP with the same result.

If someone can provide instructions for another method to generate 180 days, please PM me.

Thanks all for the help.

Seems this doesn't work anymore. It says not valid for your region. I think the reset/convert files use russian license, so it is not working for non-russian region.

The 2 files that come with the reset/convert .cmd files are russian so, how can we get those files for USA region? I don't know if these files are modified, or how they were obtained, since it was already included in the reset/convert download. Maybe someone else can help?

Hi,

This topic might be old, but I'm relatively new and bit confused.

Does this method still work for the latest Norton products or no longer the case?

From what I understand one needs to have a virtual machine / virtual harddrive installed on Windows XP?

I looked at the post that coua made, looks like an old version of NIS v 18? was used. The file that was on mediafire is no longer there.

Is the first file still required. i.e."NIS 18.1.037 ING Direct LOEM MRF1321A 5578" along with the BOX_NTR, even though the current NS is v22.5 onwards?

Any helpful info or guidance is appreciated.

Thanks.

the link for Box still works, yes, the general way to get Norton key is install old version Norton: 2010 ver17, 2012 ver18, ... till 2014 ver21 and trial reset to convert the default trial days to 165 days, 180 days, ... and maybe 366 days in the future. and the key for these old Norton versions can be used for the latest Norton version.^_^
