Microsoft has released another cumulative update for Windows 10

Well, if there was any doubt that Microsoft would be pushing out updates quickly, you can put it to bed as the company has released yet another update.

Cumulative update 3, which is now live via Windows Update, is rolling out to users around the world.

This is the third update in less than two weeks for the OS and while the support page is not live, the last update was primarily patching security vulnerabilities.

The supporting documentation for the update can be found here, KB3081438 (although it is not live yet).

Seeing that Microsoft is moving to a service model for the OS, this type of update should be somewhat frequent as they will more proactively update the core OS, instead of releasing major service upgrades every few years. Considering that three updates have come in less than two weeks, we will be curious to see if the company continues to patch the OS with non-security related updates regularly or if this is only happening because the OS is brand new.

You can download the update now - and while we did not have any issues installing the bits, let us know if you encounter any problems with the installation.

I thought that this update did me in. After it rebooted to install the update the message came up. You Computer Ran Into a Problem and It will be restarted. Ha! Thought that I was going to be in a LOOP as it did this Twice before it got the Update Installed. Spooky. Ha ha. WHEW!

You have 30 days after upgrade to go back to old windows . On my windows 8 machine windows 10 boots fast but on my vista machine that was upgraded to windows 7 it booted slow so i reset it back to windows 7 like a week after it went live. :P

I was surprised with (another) Cumulative update for W10. Looks like everything went fine now.

Anyway my W10 feels smooth after doing full rewrite (upgrade, format HDD, install again), although sometimes multiple openings (like when I open TeamSpeak it opens like 5-10 copies of it) or flickering Explorer windows (probably Taskbar bug, sometimes it "reopens" the window I just was or opens the same window even after closing it).

it's so weird, i have had issues with W10 on about every other preview build but since final release 2 weeks before launch date I loaded it on all my machines and haven't had any issues except some websites didn't work right in the Edge browser but now seems all of it is fixed but I also live 200 miles from microsoft hq wonder if it's a break in connection screwing up ones on machines much farther away from their update hubs. Like packet loses I'm not sure, but I do know I will never revert back to any other windows my gaming is better the system runs cooler, loads faster and uses far less resources then any other OS even with all their backdoor SH*T that you can't avoid.

I also stay very active in reporting issues to Microsoft and ton's of suggestions in windows feedback app, the more you all share with them the more they can fix your system blocking microsofts spying stuff just breaks stuff I guarantee it is designed that way on purpose I have nothing to hide maybe you guys should get real jobs and buy your movies music and tv shows instead of stealing them and then maybe you would have less issues with microgovernment windows lol or get better at hiding your illegal activities like Tails OS to do your downloading lol and network share your files or better yet when you want to download again use Tails OS on USB and save to your main drives but I don't do anything illegal I am completely legit. ;)

The biggest problem Ive had to date with my newest computer was Microsoft they gave me the wrong driver . I had to fix that other than a few update glitches here and there that was easily solved no trouble and I dont block Microsoft my firewall does . My firewall blocks everything but windows updates and system by default . If i have no use for it running and if dont serve a purpose i dont change it . :P The windows 7 machine that was slow with Windows 10 on it . i never blocked nothing other than turning the default stuff privacy off . It was slow from the 1st day I installed . Microsoft should never have released a unfinished product and they would not need to know if you fart in you're own house .

I had this update in about two hours before the appearance of this article already installed and configured.
Did not come across any problems. At the moment update runs another computer, which I had not used in about a week.

Let's see what happens, the installation will be completed soon.

That's strange, my PC has never booted so quick. Maybe a fresh install will do it (obviously backup your data).

No issues with this update either. :)

Not really strange ..did you do any research before calling it strange? Not all computers are the same many older boxes, will never even get the right drivers for windows 10 . The operating system being meant for DX 12 and Most systems made dont have new enough card . In windows 8 it used DX11 and older has DX9 . So if you dont do a hardware upgrade you will never see all the benefits of Win 10 .

If you lucky enough to find working drivers and dont have update glitches ..Its pure luck is all . botched updates are nothing new they are bad in windows 8.1 and Windows 7 as well. I never had any trouble with drivers or windows updates the whole time I was on windows 8.1 but many did it kept making the news . Now that windows 10 is here Ive had a driver issue , update issues a few times on one pc.

And update issues and slow boot on the other one . :P

Edit : You can read here this problem is conman

Slow boot on Win10 compared to Win7

http://www.tenforums.com/performance-maintenance/15851-slow-boot-win10-compared-win7.html

Im going to wait few months and reinstall windows 10 on the one with win 7 to see if resolved once you ever install it the way the activation works is it auto activate its wired to you're hardware ID even if you clean install it. I downgraded it and going to wait since its just a spare computer .

haha nice one bro

Truth is windows 10 sucks big time.the ONLY good feature is D12 and nothing else.

I tried disabling some stuff and my system logs got a LOT of spam.

So i'm also waiting for W10 sp1.

Anyone else notice that the Cumulative Update unblocks previously blocked apps in Windows Firewall, such as, Xbox, Store, etc.?
