How to View Internet Data Usage in Windows 10

Internet has become a part of everyday life. We cannot imagine living or working without an internet connection whether it is your home/office internet connection or some public WiFi access. Even though we do not realize it, we can use multiple gigabytes of the internet data in a single day while watching videos over Yutube or engaging in some interesting discussion on the social networks. Over a period of one month this data usage can soon cross the fair usage policy limit of your ISP and you may end up having a slower connection near the end of the month.

Fortunately Windows 10 lets you see how much data you have used over any type of internet connection Ethernet, WiFi, Dial-Up etc., so that you can stay in full control of how and when your data should be consumed. Here is how you can see how much data has been consumed overall and by individual apps in Windows 10:

1. Click/touch on the Start icon and select Settings from the menu.
