very interesting informative thread . my only concern is what is the best stable tool from all the above list... i dont want ending my windows 10 screwed :)

I tested all on my Windows 10 and 8.1... no bug, they do praticaly the same and some are good to see how is your configuration and are not intrusives.

There was a thread somewhere who compare the tools...

My opinion is to take the more recent cause every microsoft update is a new crap inside and the tools evolved against that.

​There's no best rated tool, only which suits your needs. Different Windows SKU, different levels of exposure i.e LSTB versions significantly lesser then Home/Pro because lack of Win Store, Cortana..

Some users enable Win Defender, Win Update.. & some don't use them

This apps are not god send, they constantly updated based from new findings from enthusiasts @Tech forums like MDL..etc

I dont use any of these apps, I removed the telemetry and related packages in .ISO before installing Windows and only my firewall whitelisted softwares can connect to the net.

Looks like it is copied from nummers source i would not use it i would stick with the original DWS
