The day is here... Windows 10 has reached build 10240, which Microsoft has selected to be the final release to manufacturing (RTM) copy of Windows. The RTM version of Windows 10 will now be sent out to PC makers to bake into their new machines, as well as manufacturing the physical copies of Windows 10.

Microsoft internally signed off on the RTM release of Windows 10, but will most likely announce the RTM publicly later this week. With the official release of Windows 10 set for July 29, we're only two weeks away from Microsoft's next-generation operating system.

As insider, build 10240 is far from RTM, still too many glitches, and too many confising things.

It'll be maybe another build before RTM.

I will install Windows 10 as soon as Intel will release the latest drivers for Windows 10. For example IRST, Intel HD Graphics (there already is a beta or was it alpha version available). So I only need W10 support for IRST driver.

Version: 10.0.10240.16384 Doesn't expire, no watermarks, makes a restore with a 4gb wim for reinstall to same motherboard - no key needed.

Seems to be same build number as RTM. Upgradable to enterprise and student.

great news, it could be the final build and the updates will download as part of windows update; that's the aim of windows 10 as they promote it, it's an ongoing upgrade to the OS

donkey-girl

As long there is too many programs wich not runs on this release and guess also in the NeXT release I wont install ore upgrade any of my main computere. Tested the pro 64 bits English build 10240 and yes it runs smooth and even I got the Danish language file from update! but to many programs fails to run in this, not even Rasco perfect disk and Slysoft Clone DVD, so it Means if I upgrade from win 8.1 when the choice come I will stay with a computer where almost 1/3 part of the programs dont work-- No way I stay foot where I am the NeXT 6 month ore more... So Why so much rush to get win 10 ??
