november_ra1n
Exclusive look at Windows 10 build 10114 showcasing improved UI and more Exclusive first look at Windows 10 Build 10114 to show you today, which includes a number of user-interface improvements and enhancements. The Start Menu has been updated, moving File Explorer and Settings to the bottom of the apps list, there's also a new Start tab in Settings and the Insider Hub has received a major update. You can check out the video below, and we'll have highlight posts going into detail about some of the changes this weekend. At this stage of development, Windows 10 builds are implementing final changes before stabilization and RTM, which is expected to happen within the next couple months. What this generally means is that newer builds compiled in the coming weeks will start to include less and less 'new' features. This build will not be given to Insiders officially as it's a winmain_prs build and not an fbl_impressive one. Also as of writing said build hasn't leaked, so keep that in mind.Source: winbeta.org
haxzion
So its still an OS favoring touch screens and tablets...Still ugly for desktop user looking for a minimalistic look.Don't get me wrong it's an advanced OS but too "fat" for my taste.I need directX12 support for my Win7 which is not going to happen,i know that :P
Pete 12
Yes Im afraid its not gona be a "real-desktop-friendly"-OS !! Guess we have to stay with Win7 untill the bitter end.........

edwardecl
Looks ugly as fuck. Also why are programs organised in alphabetical order on the start menu, wouldn't by type be much better like Linux desktops do it?Microsoft are idiots.
GRiM
No official leak yet? :thumbsdown:That's an oxymoron lolHow can you have an "official" leak. If it has been released officially by it's definition it's not a "leak". ;)
GRiM
I think Win10 looks stunning. Loving the new start menu's. Even the full screen menu looks great now since you can also have the hamburger menu on left.I'm not sure what you moaners are referring to but I think it looks much better than Win7 and Win8. I'm back on Win7 at the min but will definitely be going back to Win10 soon, maybe when this builds goes to insiders or leaks.
spudboy
Still confused at the Win 7 users that stay with Win 7 primarily because of the GUI. Win 8.1 is more stable, faster, and just generally overall BETTER than XP or 7. The entire "Metro" argument is the most worthless reason to have not ever switched from XP or 7. It's like... ummmm. yeah...... you DO know that you don't ever have to see the "Start Screen" or ever use the "Metro" interface... right? You DO know that you can make it behave/look nearly identical to XP or 7... right? So why would one not upgrade to a better OS? For the most part imo due to the GREATLY overexaggerated hatred towards Win 8. People jumped on the hate bandwagon and never got off. I initially hated it also but once I realized that I wasn't stuck with the default view/settings, and saw how much of an actual improvement it was over 7 - I changed my mind. :)
