Today, June 22 on our way to work, we finally managed to talk to Bill Gates (Bill Gates) and we asked him one question, but the most important issue, which is interested by all the Internet community, "when will the final RTM release of Windows 7 Client-Server be compiled and signed".

In addition, we had to complain about Steve Ballmera, cause he constantly tries to put all the confusion and did not disclose the exact plans that Bill reasonably remarked, saying that his work went "puff" to all the head. Next time just ask me and I'll be all talk.

And so, here is a "secret plan" that works well concealed from us, Steve Ballmer:

FINAL ROADMAP FOR WINDOWS 7 [CLIENT-SERVER]:

01.06 - 19.06 BUILDING RTM ESCROW - already assembled RTM ESCROW

22.06 - 10.07 RTM RECALL - assembly and search for candidates to the final RTM release

10.07 WINDOWS 7 RTM FINAL BUILD TARGET - build day "gold code"

13.07 WINDOWS 7 RTM SIGN-OFF - the date of signing the final RTM release!

On the RTM build of the day, signed an official final release and you can begin to consider profit:

RTM - (abbreviation of English. Release To Manufacturing or, more rarely, pp. Ready To Market) - a symbol of product readiness for replication and production of electronic media.

Cinonimy: «Gold code», «Final version» product, «RTM-version» All this means that the issuance of the final product.

The proposed plan for us is the most accurate schedule.

As you now see before July 10, you should not expect the appearance of the final version. We know that since July 10, Microsoft employees have access to the RTM build, and therefore from that day might expect leakage assemblies.

The branch builds WIN7_RTM, candidates for the finals:

6.1.7260.0.win7_rtm.090612-2110 - RTM branch build - no sign-off!

6.1.7261.0.win7_rtm.090615-1900 - RTM branch build - no sign-off!

6.1.7262.0.win7_rtm.090617-1900 - RTM branch build - no sign-off!

6.1.7263.0.win7_rtm.090619-1900 - NEW candidate in RTM branch build.

- Information on new builds we communicate very rapidly and add it as soon as becoming aware of the fact that the assembly was held.

RTM version will finally be assembled in the main assembly line WINMAIN:

WINMAIN branch build:

6.1.7233.0.winmain.090614-1655 - actual build in winmain branch

The next assembly in the main assembly line WINMAIN will be the final RTM version. The exact number of the assembly is still unknown, but our sources report that it most likely will be a beautiful number 7300 Build.

If you live we'll see. Until the final release of Windows 7, we do not plan to lay the network of any new builds.

All are waiting for the finals ...

Hey guys!

In the last few weeks I've been watching the RCs. I did install the latest build for x64 -> 7232.

I can say that till now it has no major bugs, works like a charm.

The RTM will be ready (leaked) on 10th July 2009 as of WZOR! Neowin and other sites did mention earlier dates like 26th June or 29th.

Waiting for RTM,

BlackLine

So what does this mean exacly?

it means that the official RTM release of windows7 will occur somewhere between the 10th and 13th (no, not Friday the 13th...get Jason out of your head!) of July, and until then other builds will get released...

There are way too many threads discussing W7 in here, I suggest merging them all, or create a special sub-forums/category just for W7 :)
