CODYQX4
Analysts always say things about Apple, like Sapphire Glass, time travel, whatever. That being said, I don't see this Smartwatch trend taking off like phones, for anyone. All Smartwatches currently suck hardcore and I don't see anything on the Apple Watch worth bothering. If I did want one, there's no chance in hell I'd buy the Gen1 edition. Gen2 will probably be 10X better (or 10X less awful, depending on how you look at it).

dMog
pff. and it took a full fledged analysis? it took me a single glance at the contraption to know.yes...a world class watch it is not...maybe will compete with walmarts and targets 15 dollar watches  people may eventually want these apple or similar watches but they will have to be made to look more like tag or any of the classic looking high end watches ...but as it stands to day they look like a toy and something that belongs on a 10 year old's wrist
lurch234
pff. and it took a full fledged analysis? it took me a single glance at the contraption to know.Lets not forget the prohibitive prices also :blink:It starts at $349 (AU$499, £299), but climbs all the way up to $17,000 (AU$24,000, £13,500). How? Simple: the bands, plus the crazy-high price of an 18-karat gold model.but as it stands to day they look like a toy and something that belongs on a 10 year old's wristAgreed! I wouldn't wear something like that at a formal event...
mikie
Read somewhere china already has functional look a-likes for somewhere under 50 dollars. There wont be a big market for $300 plus watches after the first frenzy of buyers.. then the prices will fall steeply with version 2 or 3.
