mikie Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 I haven't done that in a very long time... so save the key you change.Search Regedit for the exact name showing in device manager under HKLM CurrentControlSet Change the one that says Friendly Name and see if that works for you.Be prepared to change it back if it doesn't.or do you mean just the drive name showing in explorer with the other drive... if so right click it and select properties... you can change the name there. dcs18 Posted February 26, 2015 Share Posted February 26, 2015 Download Transcend.rar (673 bytes only) Extract the content Transcend.reg to any location on your HDD Right click Transcend.reg to edit (using Notepad) and then change the drive letter F (2 instances) to the one which corresponds with your drive letter (for the pen drive, in question) Change also the drive name Transcend (1 instance) to the drive name of your choice After editing Transcend.reg - save the file Run Transcend.reg - to import the entry into your registry by clicking Yes, for all ensuing prompts If you found the Transcend.reg useful - store it to rename any drive in future Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
