BTW, those 3rd party application take up absolutely no resources, whatsoever (but, help to beat the sh!t outta our Windows 7.) yes, and I can do the same using external apps, but I repeat... I was talking about the "native customization options" that now are not present, and not about the things you can do with external apps.

I said previously that I use other nick there. BTW, the only way to settle the Windows 7 V/s Windows 8, is by posting screenshots of the GUI and the customizations - let's match our screenshots (regardless of - with/without 3rd party applications.) That is the best way to judge which one is better. here you have some examples of native features from previous Windows versions (related with UI customization) http://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=9cd64464-4c16-4ca9-9640-bdada61fbd74 http://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=c8b01ab8-bd2e-4370-abe3-212158018a93 http://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=80b4d882-5116-410b-865b-cf6e23bada59 http://fud.community.services.support.microsoft.com/Fud/FileDownloadHandler.ashx?fid=9bcc06ef-68b7-41a0-9687-be22b90ad726 this native customization options are not present anymore since Windows 8.x. hope you understand now about what I'm talking about. SPECTRUM
I'm not using Windows 7 atm due I'm using Windows 10 TP. and again I have to repeat that I'm not talking about the customizations you can make manually modifying some files or using external apps. I'm only talking about the native customizations options present in the OS that now are not present in Windows 8.x and same happens in Windows 10 TP. dcs18
even when I already showed you pictures and info about what are the native UI customization options that now are not present in Windows 8.x.I know all about the native UI Customization options - FYI, they are known as Personalization. It is also very obvious that those pictures which you posted do not belong to you (they neither impress nor interest me.)Since you claim that Windows 7 is better than Windows 8, you are (again) invited to pimp your Windows 7 to the best of your capabilities - use all the UI customization you can muster and then come back here to post the results which we will match with mine.FYI, Participants on my PM are amused by your predictable excuses - claiming you won't (I have high hopes that you will - don't disappoint me.)I am interested only in the results of the UI customizations. SPECTRUM
I didn't say that Windows 7 is better than 8, I just said that Windows 10: is a great step from Windows 8.x but from Windows 7 not yet. thats all.
