Hi All,

We already experienced more issues and restriction issues with Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and Update 1, 2....

When Service Packs was provided, it was much easier and user friendly even to new users and professionals as it does everything automatically once the installation setup is started. It can be easily installed on devices without internet to keep updated with all the patches released within a period of time from the stable version till now.

So, we could request Microsoft continue to release Service Packs starting from Windows 10 and future OS releases.

Here is the link to vote for Service Packs!

Yeah good luck with that. They want to stop those so they don't have to extend OS support dates.

Maybe, maybe, but it cost nothing and is alway worth to try. If we stop trying to change that we want changed, then we can not blame M$ either for what they are doing!

Honestly, I'd rather them drop the old SP way of things and do constant rolling updates. Instead of 1 SP and your OS rots, your OS gets features put in it when ready.

Too bad this is only for them to enable subscriptions and their updates break everything, because it could be much better than the old way of things.

if they did things the way we wanted them Windows 7 would still be the main OS (oops it is)

If they did things the way we wanted them you wouldn't be clinging to their old OS, because their new OS wouldn't be a turd they tried to force down our throats Human Centipede style.

Subscription thing? They are doing it already on the enterprise version and it will spread on others as well.

Welcome to the coming wonderful world of MS terminal OS! :footinmouth:

Users hope that

- M$ won't create such a mess with Windows 10.

- M$ learned from their Windows 8/8.1 mistakes.

Maybe, hope is too much when it comes to M$...

The hope can't change in regards to MS. How long will it take MS to create an OS with Win 7 in mind?

MS created Vista. However, they were able to make Win 7 without much difficulties. Why can't they just pick those features of Win 7 and XP and additional features from Win 8/8.1 to make the OS?

Why Satya Nadella still keeps Metro/Modern UI and Start Screen to make a mess of Windows 10? Why can't they create an OS that can be a combination of XP, Vista and Win 7 for non-touch devices and Win 8 style for touch based devices?

Why can't MS quicky add all those favorite features which are removed by Ballmer Team? Why are they pushing users to use an OS with an UI and unwanted changes which is not liked by most of long time Windows users?

If Win XP and 7 are on top of market share? Why can't they align their products with them?

Why are they moving users to different view that is not user friendly in comparison to XP, Vista and 7?

Why can't Sh**ty Nadella doing very slow changes?

In Vista and Win 7, there were classic theme? It was removed by Fu**ing Ballmer. Why can't Sh**t Ea**ng Nadella add it again to Win 8.1 and create a difference to the OS and also add it to Win 10?

If Nadella have brain, he shouldn't think only on votes by new Win8/8.1 users. He should also think about old long time users with Win 7.

They can't because they missed out on mobile, despite being "first", nobody wanted Windows XP Professional Corporate Tablet PC Edition 2005 SP2 R3, and their failure has them hell bent on forcing us into mobile, desktop be damned, so they can make that app, search, and ad money.

Except they forget where their money comes from, shrinking or not, they forsake their core customers to become mobile, a crappy version of mobile that has the oh so great accomplishment of more marketshare than Crackberry.

The new Windows 10 Start Menu still sucks hardcore and is hideous. I could tolerate the last one (original TP) just barely, but it sucks and I don't want to have my Desktop apps buried as 2nd class citizens (this is their failure, you can see that their failed mobile drowns out their stock apps and whatever else you may have) to their junk Metro apps from their scam plagued store (gotta be like everyone else and say you have X apps and counting, doesn't matter if it took you a year to get a Facebook app and let 20 scammers make them for you, right? You have 100000+ apps FFS!).

Unlikely, Mostly new versions means more money, SPs means no money, so if you were MSFT what should you choose?!, in addition using versions is better for advertising a product

If Linux OS manufacturers think about money, they couldn't have many fans which they have now. If MS wants money, then they should create bugs free OS and instant updates and patches with utmost secuurity equal to Linux. Does it have now? Never! They'll never be able to fulfill these things.

Many users want Windows to be free of bloatware. This is not to make users install bloatware themselves. This is basic feature and it has to be fixed. If MS wants everyhing to be done by users, then why we need to pay for the OS? Instead, we can move to Ubuntu where we don't have start menu and we can get it by installing classic menu indicator.

It is not gonna happen - service packs have been relegated to history.

The new Microsoft buzzword is feature pack - that is not gonna change.

Prefer Start8/StartisBack.

Sadly unless they change Windows 10 I'll still use those. I could just by the brink tolerate the first Windows 10 menu but the CP one just shoves too much Metro app stuff in my face when all I want is my "legacy" apps.

Have you tried using Linux . . . . . . . . . . . . . ever? yXZVmpE.gif
