Fallon Posted January 15, 2015 Share Posted January 15, 2015 EZ CD 2.5.0.1 64-bit: a small test with Disc Burner - Audio CD and external CD Player (TEAC, Pioneer).Burned 11 tracks (Huelgas Ensemble - [1999] Lamentations de la Renaissance)Results:- Retail/Trial version on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 => all is fine.- Xenocoder's patched version on Windows 7 => no problems found, although there may be some.- Xeno's patched version on Windows 8.1 => there are some problems with playback on external CD Players-1- after burning at speed 16x, 50% of startups failed.-2- after burning speed 24x, no startups.Looks like the patched version can mess up burning of the 'Lead in' under Win8.1.The exe-packer likely makes no difference. Patched version 2.2.1.1 64-bit without it was even worse.Under Win8.1 for now best avoid the 64bit patched version for another version, if you wanna give a disc to a friend and don't know his or her hardware.Or go for Burnaware.
