steven36
Class action lawsuit extended to Canada customers Customers stuck with crippled 15-inch and 17-inch 2011 MacBook Pro models packing AMD graphics are not about to give up as Apple continues to officially acknowledge a design flaw with 2011 models of the Pro laptop.Filed by Montreal-based Lex Group Attorneys, the suit is identical to the US suit where customers are experiencing screen distortion, pixilation, ghosting, and other glitchy stuff. The problem is Apple hasn’t answered these complaints despite being made public for years. Now, the Cupertino giant might have to answer for this silence in not one, but two class action suits.Apple has been known to recall faulty Macs for issues like broken batteries and other malfunctioning hardware, but for one reason or another, it has been adamant to recall any units, or at least open a repair and / or replacement program where customers can come to their local Apple store holding the Mac to their armpit demanding technicians to service the computer. If history is any indication, the Mac maker will have no choice but to open such a program and mend these broken hearts before things are blown out of proportion. If there’s anything that can harm an electronics vendore more than faulty products, it’s bad press.Source: http://mac.softpedia.com/blog/Apple-Is-In-Big-Trouble-Over-MacBook-GPU-Issues-467352.shtml

jtmulc
and here were led to believe and told apple NEVER ever made any mistakes :lol:Apple has made many mistakes over the years. One of the oldest and most famous was the Apple III, a machine that had "pick it up three inches and drop it until it works" as a repair technique.
