Microsoft goes cross-platform with Office for iOS, Android and Windows 10

Announcing the news on the Official Microsoft Blog, corporate vice president for Office John Case said that the company is "taking the next major step to bring Office to everyone, on every device".

The firm announced new Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for iPhone users, along with updated Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps for the iPad, plus a preview of Office for Android Tablet.

To sign up for the preview to test early versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint, users will need a tablet running Android Kitkat with a screen size of 7in to 10in.
