My guess is the license will die

Honestly, i dont know why people bother with the constant workarounds needed by the paid versions of this or any other AV. I use Avast Free and its all i need. All thats in the paid version are functions that almost nobody uses anyways....

Lets have a look at what you get above the Free version when you buy the Pro version, and see how useful these added functions are:

Pay & bank online. Safely. Prevent your logins and passwords from theft.

This needs to be set up per site, almost no one does it...so almost useless

Anti-hijack protection Log in to your real banking site, not a fake one.

What, cant read a URL in an email etc before you click on it? or manually type the known good address of a website? Please kill yourself immediately for being stupid and lazy

These "paid" features and their astounding lack of use are common across many AV's, youre paying for things you dont use...

So, again, why go through all the hoops to use a cracked license/keygen etc?

You'd have to be a loony

i used Avira before trying out avast (throw the refereal program) and was quite happy with it ;)

but avast v2015 is "killing" my laptop.. the new web services shields locks a lot of my traffic (torrent program sometimes not seeding, internet browseing sometimes fails, access to some websites not possible sometimes as well :\ )

triyed avg (keyged a serial for the IS) but upon reboot of win 8.1 could get pass the login (paswaord input) and got a bsod regarding some watchdog driver something... searching the bsod told me that avg had some kind of conflit and so i just reformated the laptop and put in Win 7 SP1 Home Premium x64 an Avira Free (throw beta program) and things seem runnig fine now :)

aso i do have a bitdefender av plus licence from my isp but i drag's the life of the laptop (it's a low budget laptop :( , will have to do the job for now -_- )

that idea did occurred to me but i'm not sure how it will handle the limited resources of the laptop (Intel B840 @ 1.9GHz, 4GB RAM, Intel HD (i think 2'nd gen), 320GB for SO + caddy with 500GB for data back-up).

bitdefender v2015 did put some drag on it some times (av plus with free license form my isp)

Bitdefender is shit!!

It slows down computer like hell

B/w Kaspersky only uses 45-60mb in background and prolonged background even comes down to 6-8mb

Also it requires a very less cpu

Rest is all upto u

If ur isp gives a free license then go with it

  • 2 weeks later...

hi iih1,

thanks for the medicine and howto tutorial, i installed activated as per your instruction. 2 things i like to say, first one is after successfull install i can't do right click on any file, the right click screen take 3 minute time to appear i have to wait if i want to see and use that screen, second one i can't restart my machine even i log in to my pc as a admin. i tried and waited for almost 15 hours it stucked in the restart screen of my win 8.1 x 64 system and goes on for ever. so forced to shutdown. today i tried full scan of my system it scanned and find nothing, after 4 hours later i switched on my pc i can log in to my desktop fast compare to previous log in and i can do restart my pc now, any way i do not did anything, but everything back to normal. and main thing is ram useage one of the lowest i ever seen my life, only 32 mb roughly. even at full scan i taken 64 mb of ram space totaly insane amout of memory footprint.

thanks for everything bye bye  :D :fun:
