Well I downloaded it. Installed it. Updated it. Ran Scan and it found nothing. I guess Bitdefender is doing it's job so I uninstalled it.

Whenever I tried to update thru the program, it gave me an error that I need to run update as admin. Worked fine when I downloaded the exe file from their site. :S

I used this program before. It never find anything on my computer, other than blocking some legitimate sites such as nsanedown, and a couple of keygens as false positive. So for me I am not going to use it.

Since its been about a month since the last msg. I don't know if anyone will see this...but here goes...

I've used this program for many years and never had any trouble and whenever I/it downloaded a newer version I never had to put in a new key, it automatically upgraded.

To the problem...I have a friend that lately bought a new computer, calls it an "All In One" running Windows 8 of which I know nothing about as I still on XP and after seeing his I might upgrade to 7 instead of waiting for the new Windows to come out in 2015.

I installed the program and I entered the ID and KEY that I had copied down on paper when I ran the KeyGen on my computer. Needless to say it's been a no-go...shows up as FREE.

Question does the KeyGen have to be run from the computer the program it was installed on or not ? I looked at "my account" on my computer and it shows a 5 digit ID but only 5(*s) in the KEY line is this correct as when I enter the KEY in the new installation I enter 4 series of 4 digits...I guess I'm used to a * for every keystroke...

If anyone can help, Please do....Many Thanks .....BC
