Kaspersky manual method

This may help some people,apologies if its anywhere else on the forum.

Rather than reset tools which need to be scanned and run with caution without actually knowing which files and registry keys it is modifying I prefer this manual method.

(1) Disable Self Defense [settings>>Additional] and Exit from tray

(2) Open regedit

For (x86)

Delete the following registry keys.

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\LicStorage]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\SPC\Certificates]

Navigate to

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP14.0.0\settings]

and change the value of Ins_InitMode key from 0 to 1

For (x64)

Delete the following registry keys.

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\LicStorage]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\SPC\Certificates]

Navigate to

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP14.0.0\settings]

and change the value of Ins_InitMode key from 0 to 1

(3) Open KIS and Enable Self Defense.

OR

To reduce hassle with registry editor create a batch file from the following commands and you can skip the 2nd step.

Open notepad enter below commands and save as "any name.bat"

For (x86)

Code:

REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\LicStorage /f

REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\SPC\Certificates /f

REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP14.0.0\settings /v Ins_InitMode /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

exit

For (x64)

Code:

REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\LicStorage /f

REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\SPC /f

REG ADD HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\protected\AVP14.0.0\settings /v Ins_InitMode /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f

exit

Now the procedure becomes

(1) Disable Self Defense [settings>>Additional] and Exit from tray

(2) Run the batch file

(3) Open KIS and Enable Self Defense.

This batch file is temporary it won't be working

U will get protection disabled after 1 day of usage

So only adviced till date is KRT 4.0.0.22

The most stable and it has some other scripts that will take care of it.

So this time the license won't be blocked
