Up until recently, I had been using another email program, which worked quite well but it was getting long in the tooth (old and/or outdated) and slow. I decided to get another program and settled on Thunderbird 31.0 at the time. It was a blessing in disguise. Thunderbird is very easy to use and is much faster retrieving and sending my email than the last program. At install, It saw my older email program and simply imported its settings and was up and running in a few minutes.. I was a little concerned that since then there have been 3 live updates but I have allowed all 3 of them and it seems to still work every bit as good. I like Thunderbird very much...

Then I figured, why not use Firefox as the browser, at the same time. That too was a great move...
