qBittorrent is a multi-platform Bittorrent client developed in C++/Qt4. The qBittorrent project aims to provide a Free Software alternative to µtorrent. Its main features are its integrated search engine (allows searching for torrent from the main torrent Web sites simultaneously in a transparent fashion), its support for l'UPnP/NAT-PMP, Bittorrent protocol encryption (Azureus-compatible), Peer Exchange (PeX) compatible with µTorrent, IP filtering (eMule-like "ipfilter.dat" or PeerGuardian filters), Torrents (and the files they contain) prioritizing, remote control through a secure Web User Interface.

Thanks to Matsuda for the update.

When I updated this program, it removed my torrents that I had downloaded. Why did it do this and how can I stop it from happening?

This also happened to me. I fixed it by installing the old version (3.1.9.2).

I am on Windows 7 64 bits.

Here running just fine tested on Laptop Acer i5 Aspire V5-471G-53314G50MASS WInndows 7 Ultimate x64,.

(Both variant 32Bits or 64Bits)

Might be bit files your windows are corrupted...you could try as Knightmare post, sometimes Windows 7 ultimate bit

different if you install on Windows 7 Professional. so far my knowledge more convinient on Professional.
