humble3d
Pros and cons MEDIA AND MORE VIA THE LINK(s) below... There are times in life when we are faced with making big decisions. Making a list of pros and cons can often be very helpful when assessing a tough situation. An article posted on WMAZ.com shares the details of a con woman who was a pro at defrauding the government and her employer until she was caught and prosecuted for her illegal actions. The article reports that the woman committed her fraudulent acts through her tax return preparation business, where she prepared hundreds of false returns over a two-year period. She claimed fraudulent tax credits for first time home buyers in the amount of $283,683. She also filed more than $266,000 in false health care claims. (Why stop at a quarter of a million when you can go for half a million?) The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to health care fraud as well as aiding in preparing a false return and false claims. She was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison and will pay more than $372,000 in restitution. Before filing all of those fraudulent tax returns and false claims, this professional con woman neglected to examine what might happen if she was caught. While serving out her time in prison, she’ll have plenty of time to weigh the pros and cons of selecting a life of crime. (My guess is that the list will contain a lot of cons.) http://watchdog.org/170794/pros-and-cons/? http://www.fraudoftheday.com/2014/09/16/pros-cons/
