7 Deadly Sins in the USA, Find Out Where the Hot Spots Are [MAPS]

The seven deadly sins, as defined by Christianity are: Pride, Envy, Lust, Greed, Wrath, Sloth, and Gluttony. This classification of vices has been used since early times to educate and instruct Christians concerning fallen humanity’s tendency to sin. Each is a form of Idolatry-of-Self.

A team at Kansas State were curious how ‘sin occurrences’ would map out across the country. Where would there be more? Where would there be less? They pooled all of the data together and came up with the following maps. Prevalence is indicated by color, where places that are blue have the least occurrence and places that are red have the most.

Pride is considered the first deadly sin and the root of all sins. Therefore, the pride map is a collaboration of data from the other maps.
