I would like to clarify a few things. Using this method will ESET still update automatically or do I have to do it manually at each boot?

It's a little confusing when it says it's activated but complains when I try to update manually(unless I've done something wrong). I don't know how often the virus definitions are updated each day so it's hard to tell.

If no Mistake on steps..it's will automatically update Database, whenever new signature available or on windows startup.

after performing the OEM fix license doesn't show in x64 ESS (as stated on first page) but OEm-number has been changed in DWORD license file. I don't really care because everything is still working fine here :D

For info, purplebeanZ the first person who make medicine and updating by Mara both of them are members here at nsane,

so both medicine are worked fine, i see you should check again with your firewall setting. (actually Mara / PurplebeanZ was insert Lic Jan, 2015)

IF you don't have any issue with auto updates it's OK, unless you have such issue for updating Database (virus signature)

because ESET wont update signature if your license not valid, or you can bypass don't through common update servers but switch

to evaluate server (mirror) eg: http://update.eset.com/eset_eval/.

PS: so far my knowledge with both above medicine it's not neccessary to added mirror.

If you prefer ESS please set network to interactive mode, then you will know what apps not allowed your eset

just allowed and thick remember my setting, if everything was OK you can switch to Auto, you're DONE.
