Purple Trail
My mistake, you guys are talking about a different thing. I was referring to the option of having the tabs on bottom, which was removed in Firefox 29.https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/put-tabs-back-on-bottomClassic Theme Restorer (Customize Australis) has option to disable tabs at top:Thanks, I know about this, but I try to keep it as minimal as possible and only install addons/plugins if really necessary. Although I prefer tabs on bottom, I have been using Australis for some time and got used to tabs on top.Thing is, it sucks having to install a 3rd party add-on just to simply restore a basic function. It seems they are too lazy to maintain it.I haven't used Java RE anymore for years as no websites that I visit need it and I got rid of Flash Player since Firefox 32 properly supports the Youtube HTML5 player. Firefox is fast for me.Same applies for my system in general, I keep it clean and simple, so it's fast, runs as smooth as butter and doesn't slow down in time or encounter any bugs. And not really practical to use this entire addon if you only need to restore tabs on bottom. Personally I'm more into optimizing for best performance than customizing. Thanks for the insight, but already said I got used the change. Maybe others out there will find this addon helpful for them. mray88
Why is it I'm getting a security warning asking me if I will create an exception for every single page I try to go to? I mean I installed this new FF version and it even gave me a security warning when I tried to go to Google -- telling me the site has an invalid certificate????? WTF???????? And what the heck happened to all of my bookmarks? They appear to be gone? I've never seen a update of Firefox that doesn't retain your bookmarks! At first blush this new version completely sucks. Sorry, I see some here like it, but it strikes me as a lame, second-rate version of Chrome that's more setup to 'figure out' than to use. One that obliterates all your addons (at least that's what it did for me...). Firefox without addons was always NoFox...... or Waste-My-Time-Fox...... or Goodbye-Fox. On to search for earlier version of FF. This one is an immediate goodbye. I don't have the time to be placed in the Mozilla test tube.
shamu726
@mray88, is your pc clock set right? If it's set too forward, that may display that warning about invalid cert.
mray88
@mray88, is your pc clock set right? If it's set too forward, that may display that warning about invalid cert.Yeh, my computer is set to automatically sync the time/date. Just checked it against my cell phone, as well. It's correct. For some reason, when I updated to 29, it seems to have obliterated my profile, add-ons, certificates, everything! I can't go to one single site without getting a security warning that asks me to confirm 2x that I want to proceed. Funny, it even happened with a Mozilla site I tried to go to for research of what went wrong. I might just do a system restore and see if that works out-- but frankly I find myself so unenthusiastic about this new version that I'm not sure if it's worth whatever else I would lose. Thanks for trying shamu726, I appreciate your help. Just have to activate the right profile. Read more about starting up the profile manager here.

Rok
I don't at all find the new UI impressive. It's just another ripoff Chrome. Lately, every browser out there copying Chrome UI. For this reason, I've now switched to Chrome after almost 13 years of loyal Opera fan.

Rok
you didn't like the new UI 'cos it looks like chrome, yet u moved on to chrome? :lol:YES , i moved to Chrome, 'cos it is the original. I've never said I don't like the Chrome UI, all that i said was, "why would one install competitors (who are simply copying the features and UI), when you have the original available to use.' That's it. :DMoreover, every browser these days shifting the rendering engine to the Chromium, including UI for example Firefox, Opera etc. Edited May 4, 2014 by Rok
