Frosticles Posted April 7, 2014 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Hi everyone, I'd be extremely grateful if anyone could help me work out this problem i have with an ultrabook. Basically, when i turn on the laptop its fan's done spin, but as soon as it finishes it's POST (or when i boot into the BIOS) the fans ramp up to max and nothing I've done seems to make any difference. Speedfan doesn't detect any fans, and in the device manager there are 2 fans listed under system devices as "ACPI Fan". There is also some other strange behaviour, such as everyone complaining about the adaptive backlighting, mine doesnt seem to even do any adaptive backlighting. This makes me wonder if there's something preventing the correct drivers from loading?Please offer any suggestions :). Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
